None of the kids who died without blood transfusions wanted to, they were just more afraid of the threat eternal damnation than they were of death. So very pathetic.

A child that DIDN'T want to die ... a blood experience you won't read in Awake! or on JW.ORG
by wannabefree inwhile doing work for a client in her office recently, we got into a light discussion about religion.
she knew i was one of jehovahs witnesses as our business relationship started while i was still a loyal and believing jw.
anyway, i said something that she knew didnt quite fit and she said ... i thought you were one of jehovahs witnesses ... i shared my story ... she felt comfortable to confide in me a story as to why, even though she has had dealings with jehovahs witnesses who she thinks are good people, she would never even consider listening to them about their religion.. i asked her if she would write it down for me so that i could share ... she agreed.. this is her experience.. .

I agree with KoolJo-it is a way to keeps their butts out of trouble, they got to enjoy being outside on what looks like a lovely day and chat for hours with a friend and get tons of time in. Where was this program when I was in! What a perfect way to be out in service and avoid witnessing.

Some JWs overseas use a false name to evade the authorities. Is this a common practice?
by dropoffyourkeylee ini had posted this a few days ago and got no response, then i realized i had messed up the title, so here goes again;.
i have learned from a credible source that jws from the us have recently gone to morocco to witness, where the work is under ban, and while living there have lived under assumed names.
this is (according to my source) under the direction of the branch (i'm not sure which branch it would be, but i would guess france).

Does anyone remember the similiar situation in the Phillipines about 14-15 years ago? The brother who risked his neck to preach the word in a VERY Muslim area disguised as a cosmetics salesman (Avon? can't remember exactly). He was captured and beheaded. His physical brother had to collect his head which was in a box. It was all over the news. It wouldn't surprise me if something along the same vein happened in Muslim Morroco...and the WTBTS will be able to wring their hands and say 'too bad, too bad' and be completely absolved of compilicity, as they weren't funding or helping these poor deluded in their preaching work, it was merely a suggestion to go to where the need is greater.

An Interesting Thing Happened at the Meeting Yesterday...
by PaintedToeNail inthis was reported to me by an attendee: during the watchtower, a brother commented that "we shouldn't question things that we don't have the full facts about, such as why is it so expensive to have an assembly at the grantville assembly hall?
it would be far cheaper to rent our own space to have an assembly than it is to use grantville.
we don't have all the facts so we don't know the reasons why and it isn't our place to question".

I thought it was interesting that this brother introduced something so unrelated to the Watchtower Study, almost as if he planned to plant a seed of doubt and questioning at the KH.

What a way to put that nugget of information to the entire congregation, framed as an innocent statement! I wonder how many sitting in attendance ever thought about the high cost of utilizing the Ass. Hall in that context before, a worldly venue would be cheaper....

Update - Protest done - Hi Everyon
by LouBelle ini have been rather scarce i know, i've been so very busy with work that i don't really have much time to log on, and we had someone come into our home and steal our laptop, so haven't been able to log on at home either.. work is still going very well.
it's not easy cold selling, but i've had a good few ads come in and keep me ticking over.
every now and again i pop because i simply don't know what else management want me to do, i'm doing everything i can.
