@leavinggwt :They are spies. You are absolutely right!! I remember being a 15year-old teenager, with a mom inactive in the truth , struggling with her disease and being working really hard to help and support, and one of those saints "mature sisters" ruining my reputation by saying that i was sleeping with a guy who visited my boss.... My sister was studying the bible and got very dissapointed by this action, the "only thing i can thank her for lol .... This "lady" started to spread rumors against me and i was soooo hurt, i was the one who called the elders !! They said they will talk to her, but i dont know what else happened as i didnt follow the case. At that time i was so into the religion, i was devastated to see how ppl avoided me and look at me down due to those comments :( Funny thing is im a 29 year old virgin!!

DO NOT have children in this system!!
by What Now? ingrowing up, this is something that my other always told me.
i've had several conversations with older sisters who have said that if they could do things over, they wouldn't have had children.
other couples my own age are horrified at the thought of raising children in "this system".

Having a baby for some people is a big , huge thing ... and they decline for being in special service, i have seen a lot of ex-bethelites in their 40's and 50's feeling sad for not having children.

It is true, the friendship inside of the JW is not so unconditional .... also, new ppl in my life wants to know me for who i really am , and not for how many hours i spend in service .....

What has the WT$ TAKEN from you?
by VampireDCLXV inif you've been around here long enough, you will have seen people saying how they "gave up" or "sacrificed" certain things so that they could be good little jws.
what about those of us who were growing up in it and we didn't even have a choice in the matter?
what about those of us from whom some things in life were forcibly ripped away, things that 'normal' people take for granted in their life?.

Lets see ... Parties and celebrations, specially as a child. I did finish college but took me 7 years instead of 4 as i didnt take clases in meetings days and my classes were mostly at night (at that time were 3 days). Now I have a half scholarship for a Master and I am taking it!!, few months ago i wouldnt even think about it as it was a worldly goal ..... :) Is something I would have miss if i wouldnt visit this site ...
