I hate the GB ...
by Dudu init is strong word but i do hate them ... for the first time in my life i have this feeling so strong.
today i was talking to my mom and she went on about how leaving the wt was the worst decision on ive ever made and how embarrased and hurt she was about my behavior (not going to meetings) i am loosing my relationship with my mom and the more i grow apart from the jw the more i will loose her , it is just sad .....

there is one bottom line here. especially for anyone reading this web site who is an "outsider".
one bottom line. which is this: a religion that claims to be "the truth" what truth? the truth that christ is god's son, and that he set the example for all of mankind to follow. and this religion is the true organization of christ....ok, yet you have thousands upon thousands of people coming to this web page all saying the same thing.
how do these 2 facts jibe? they don't. the only explanation would be that we are a bunch of failures, who can't deal with criticism or something of this nature, that there is somehow some common thread running through all the posters here. and that might clean the jw's record if somehow they could find some common thread behind everyone that posts here. but there isn't one. therefore the facts speak clearly. you have rich people posting here, poor people, smart people, dumb people, people of strong character, people of not so strong character, people of empathy, militant people....there is no common thread. therefore the facts speak loudly and clearly.
you do not have a true religion that stands on the pillars of what you claim to stand on, if you have tens of thousands of people coming here all saying the same negative things. (from all over the world)
also cherry picking scriptures. what about when the apostles were concerned about "these other people" speaking about christ spreading the good news or whatever. what did christ say? did he condemn them as false ? no, he said let them be, they are fine. so what about that scripture? cherry pick cherry pick, i'll take a #4 with cheese and hold the mayo, btw everything else on the menu is poison, have a nice day.

Suggestions from serving elders lurking here
by mankkeli inthis thread is directed at elders who are still serving but lurking here.. 1) how do you handle personal confessions being made to you?..
2) how do you manouvever other elders on jc without destroying victims lifes.
3) how do you handle reports of wrongdoing, how have you balanced the situation in such a way that the accused is not affected although known by someone else.. please i will appreciate a pm for a response and only from those who are still serving as elders but mentally out.

mankeli....you seem like someone that has been locked in a bubble for a long time. while in that bubble, you see what can happen is, you develop a perception of reality that is your own, but is not *the* reality. finally you free yourself from the bubble, or you are freed by something/someone else...and you begin to openly publish your thoughts and ideas , while thinking the world is just this simple place. if people would only listen to you and your simple fixes, everything would be solved. we also have a name for these people in society, we call them republicans. (at least republicans of the last 10 or so years. the classic republican was one of few words, insight, business prowess and elitism.)
after realizing pretty much everything you acquired mentally while in your bubble, is absolutely useless...then you will begin your venture into reality and real intelligence. hopefully.

i love watching the pious faces when they find out that the borg does have to disband congregations..."but this is the truth"..."the congregation is the source of blah blah blah"...well heh sorry no.
btw i wonder if any of the major religions churches have ever been disbanded in the states, for bad behavior? that would be kind of funny if it was exclusive to the jws. there's your truth!
i have honest to god had conversations with elders who are actually pretty good/smart people, who are in such deep cognitive dissonance that the conversation goes like this:
"hey so yea maybe they will disband this congregation because of how insane it is"...elder: "well i know they do disband sometimes for the sake of efficiency"...."well actually they do disband mr. elder sometimes for the sake that they are out of control, case in point....blah blah"...elder: "oh yes i did hear about that one"...so i repeat question: "so maybe they will disband this lunatic asylum then?"...he goes back to the original answer, elder: "well i do know that sometimes they dissolve the congregation due to efficiency to merge with other blah blah"...so i repeat again, "you did hear about this cong that got disban...blah blah"...literally like whos on first, whats on second. talk about deep cognitive dissonance.

USA/Australian alliance could not defeat China in World War 3...agree?

i was just thinking, the usa is bankrupt and china has all the cash...not to mention 1 billion people!!!
if war broke out we would be totally screwed!

this reminds me of when obama got elected, and hillary gave the russians a big red button. she said it was the "reset button" for usa/russian relations. like yea...read your bible, maybe you should be handing out a book without serious non stop continuous violence? this will save lives instead of what the atom bomb did...the bible is even more violent than the atom bomb..heh. in terms of coverage in loss of violent death.

Why do Elders move to the most expensive area to live, WHO CAN'T AFFORD IT?

in california, we welcome many broken families who are not afraid to work or find a way to live without telling the flock, "we are broke, we might file bk, can you please help us find a home, i am a fulltime servant of god, so can you?
" they complain how they are so broke, "can't make the rent or make if off the food stanmps they get" yet they move to an area where the average home is $900k after the great real estate meltdown.

the best part about this is, these are the same people telling everyone to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps. they rely on handouts, handout everything, handout jobs...it's disgusting. they disgust me. I managed to get rid of some of them before i adios'ed, through legal means within the borg. if those poor bastards were smart enough to realize people like me would help them stay afloat, they might have a shot. i honestly believe over 50% of elders are seriously mentally ill. they would be better served in mental hospitals, it's more like the flock is their shepherd, and that is true. being an elder is more like therapy for the mental patients. the flock serves as their benefactor.
