this reminds me of that watchtower/awake from (1995 or something?) which had terrorism as an article and pictures of the twin towers. when 9/11 happened all these people were like OMG LOOK AT THIS WATCHTOWER....yea was prophecy...err...no it was because the "terrorists" tried to blow it up with truck bombs years before they hit it with planes, which ofcourse now everyone knows.

there is a big difference between digging up bones and using proven scientific methods on these bones, and or plant fossils. compared to digging up some ancient tablet that talks about zeus and hermes and lukeskywalker and megatron for that matter. year 4000 ad, oh you mean lord of the rings was entertainment? we thought that was real. meanwhile you got people knocking on doors talking about the 12th apostle named frodo baggins.

ding: you mean many bible apologists. i dont need some undercover bible apologist posing as a scholar to tell me what i can read with my own two eyes. the truth is bible scholar is an oxymoron, because any true scholar wouldn't be bothered wasting time disecting the bible. they are busy with quantum physics, atomic energy , and other real endeavors. we just had the faith flaw, which led us here. so dont tell me about people that came before us, as obama says 'we are the ones we've been waiting for". i dont do politics, but it seemed apt. WE ARE THE SCHOLARS, the ex-jw's who are otherwise smart people. you like that? of the elders 25 are over 75 years old.
of the ms's it was about 20 are over 75 years old.

not sure where anyone would get the crazy idea that genesis is chronological. i mean first god did x and it was the first day, then god did y and it was the second day, then god did z and it was the third day. you crazy logical thinkers always trying to make things make sense.

what is real then? the jesus account? the bible says if all of jesus deeds/utterances had been catalogued, the entire world would not be able to contain them. (ok sure it's poetic fine)...but hey could we atleast maybe get ONE BOOk called the book of jesus? jesus himself the son of GOD, who should of been able to write 30,000 words per second...could not of written just one damn book for us? we have a collection of the same 5 sentences he spoke, repeated over and over again in the various greek books of the bible...that's it? and one time he was a kid and mary was like omg where is jesus? he's in the temple. RIVETTING!!!!

sacramento: you're trying to force it to be real. the bible says nothing, it's the dictionary. the most fundamental pieces of the bible, let alone secondary items in the bible all contradict eachother. think about what you just said. god created man and woman..then later in the specific account of the garden of eden after he had created people...he didn't think to create eve because he saw it was not good for man to continue alone?
think of other fundamental laws in the bible, the most basic fundamental stuff like this creation of man. thou shall not kill? there is more death dealing handed out by the god of "thou shall not kill" than can be catalogued. and i dont mean by him directly. check out the wars of israel. check out genesis 34:25-30. they just killed raped(more than likely) and plundered, and the worst thing jacob was worried about was ostracism?
look at some of the accounts regarding god telling his armies to stand still and watch their salvation.... why didn't he just do that everytime, rather than send them out to butcher people themselves? then his real good homie king david who he is like CRAZY about, he loves that dude, and after he has him let loose killing en masse (which he told him to do) he then punishes him and says, oh btw solomon is gonna build my temple because you been a bad boy with all that killin. meanwhile solomon goes off and worships other gods after god has given solomon every possible gift on earth. good god man wake up.

funny. he mentioned the % that are 75+ i wonder how many are 50+. that is what they're really scared about. hence one more thing to get them manic about and spewing the world must end sooooo soon. and then you factor in the # of total incompetents. you're left with a really low number of competent shepherds now. with no prospect of more coming. this is a definite sign of the end. or maybe it's just a sign that people are evolving , and aren't so easily duped anymore?
