  I get so tired of people complaining about everything President Obama says or does

  for the past 4 1/2 years i have heard everything said about president obama and now the lastest "obama being the anti-christ" just have me laughing my head off.

  where do people get nonsense like this?

  do they just sit around the kitchen table and say "what are we going to say next about obama and michelle?

  When discussing people and their problems, it is much more useful to describe behavior than to call names. Name calling gives no information about what the person did that is perceived as wrong or hurtful.

  Obama is one of the most intellectually gifted presidents of my lifetime, IMHO.

  Mitch McConnell and some of his cronies set out from the beginning to discredit everything Obama has tried to do. Recently, I heard Obama express frustration about how everything in Washington is ruled by politics (therefore, not what is best for the American people).

  My biggest complaint about Obama is that he is too willing to compromise and allows his opponents to get the better of him.

  All of that having been said, freedom to criticize the president and other public officials is one of the radical freedoms that make America a great country.

  you can't help but feel sympathy for these guys.

  some of the things they did will have been horrendous, but they are paying their dues to society through their incarceration.. what they don't deserve is to become mentally imprisoned to a damaging cult.. .

  on wednesday the 10th, i went to bally's casino for tryouts/auditions for who wants to be a millionaire.

  i passed the written test!

  then i had to fill out a questionnaire in which i had to try to sound like an interesting person.

  Thanks, Sophie and Billy! I don't know for sure yet whether I'm going to be chosen to be on the show, but I did well with the preliminaries.

  it seems we have a contradicition here:.

  "determining whether someone has gone far enough to be guilty of gross uncleanness or loose conduct is a serious responsibility, for lives are involved.

  those judging such cases should do so prayerfully, asking god for his holy spirit, discernment, and understanding.

  The answer to your question is a matter of opinion, of course. I think those who claim to be the F&DS believe they have a free pass to judge or do anything else to ruin other people's lives.

  I do not agree. And the "purity" nonsense needs to go! JW's are no more "pure" than anyone else.

  No one but God has any right to judge anyone else. It is incumbent upon each of us to accept our fellow human beings, treat them all the same and respect them all the same, and leave the sifting and judging up to God or Jesus or whoever has that assignment (who is no human being or other earthly being).

  hi my name is sarah and im a psychiatric patient.

  i know that many people look down on me and see me as a freak, a demon,hideous...whatever.

  but im asking anyone here if they have any information from the watchtower or any other jw writing on serious psychiatric illnesses and what the bible has to say about it.

  In college, I took some Religion classes. One of our most esteemed professors said that if we wanted to find the great religious thinkers of today, we woould need to go to a mental institution. The people in the Bible who were the leaders were looked upon as weirdos, Jeremiah for example.

  The Watchtower Society says most of the people who post here are "mentally diseased" because we no longer believe in them. If you want friendship and support, we have it and give generously.

  If you want to become a JW, this is the wrong place. We care about you, whatever your decision, and you are welcome here. But you need to contact someone at a different site to start a Bible study and start attending meetings.
