  it's hilarious, and, apparently, based on a real life jw who was a neighbor of the song's writer..

  Why Not Celebrate Christmas?

  so, jw's don't celebrate christmas or other holidays.

  as bill cetnar once said, there are two reasons for everything: the reason they tell you, and the real reason.

  they will tell you it's because christmas is "pagan" and can lead to all sorts of licentious conduct (like drinking too much macallan scotch?)..

  recently, i watched a video by an ex-jw whose videos i had never watched before.

  i don't remember his handle.. anyway, there was only one comment posted at the time i watched the video.

  i rarely post here, but i often check in.

  i used to post on h2o as well.

  i think i once posted some of this on h2o, but there are many new ones who have joined since then.. i first encountered jw's at the age of 9. it wasn't in the door-to-door work, however.

  a man named a, j. miller, who lives in queensland, australia, claims to be jesus.

  i saw it on a youtube video of "60 minutes australia, he was formerly a "jehovah's witness minister" according to the video.

  he has bought a large tract of land, with the help of his followers.

  yesterday i was listening to the radio at work as usual.

  i listen to npr (national public radio) on most days.

  there was a report about some ex-jw's who were "daring to dream" again.

  French Club in Las Vegas

  i learned of a french club in las vegas.

  they posted on facebook that they were meeting this morning at a french pastry shop/cafe.

  i have never attended one of their meetings, so i decided to go meet them at the cafe.. it was great!
