So you're forced to live in the 17th century for the time being. Welcome to the 21st, where it's much nicer, especially for those of us who have freed ourselves from this b***sh**!
I'm sorry about your loved ones who passed on.
it was six hours long.
at the beginning of the week i had four accusers and by the time i went (half way throught the week) i was up to twelve.
i was charged with apostasy, malicous slander, lying, revileing.

alshello.
i'm a practicing jw.
finally decided to create an account to see whether you could all help me.. so i am engaged to this wonderful wonderful man and in three months time we'll be married.
I also agree with Iown MyLife. The woman is almost always held responsible for sexual "misconduct." I've even heard Dr. Laura (an American radio talk show host) blame the woman and talk as if the man bears no responsibility.
You guys need to slow down and decide what your priorities are. They have already laid a load of guilt on both of you, and now you have the burden of trying to overcome it.
If you choose to stay together, I recommend that both of you agree to pretend it never happened, and that no one laid that load of guilt on you. Being newly married can be stressful enough without third parties in the marriage telling you you're not doing the right thing. Ignore them.
Also pay special attention to what jgnat said. She is a non-JW married to a JW, but they have been successful in not allowing others to interfere in their private lives.
Best wishes.
as my second post on this forum, i want to share this with you guys!
this is the official branch organization manual (updated 2003) of jehovah's witnesses:.

Cool! Thanks!
and: Welcome to the forum!
i have joint custody of my two children with my ex husband who is still raising the kids on his time as jws.
my 11 year old claims she is getting baptized at the next assembly.
i have heard that i can write a letter to the boe and say that i oppose her getting baptized before she is 18. is that true?
She's not even old enough to get a driver's license! Isn't the commitment she is expected to make by being baptized a LOT more serious? Let her know that if she wants to be baptized, that's fine, but she needs to be grown up before she can make that decision. By all means, talk to your attorney, and make it clear that, as a minor, she should not be subject to WT "discipline" at the level of an adult. If she does get baptized, her dad and the elders should sign a statement giving her some latitude to make her own mistakes without being shunned.
The other side to this is that she could get DF'd as a teenager, and her dad might not speak to her. Then you would have a golden opportunity to keep her away from the KH. I would tell the attorney she can't go because she's on their "bad list" and no one would be allowed to speak to her, and that's too harsh for a person her age.
Good luck with this situation.
freemason wilbur ross, a well-connected banking tycoon with strong ties to the rothschild family has just bid on some watchtower buildings in brooklyn... is the watchtower returning assets to their mother organization?.

also, please view this fairly recent interview with forbes magazine... seems carefully scripted on both ends.... http://www.forbes.com/sites/tanyabenedicto/2011/01/31/wilbur-ross-on-the-economy/.
I've had a connection with the Masons through the Shriners' Hospitals. They do wonderful things for children whose parents can't afford expensive treatment.
That's all I have to say about that.
whether this woman asked these questions of her own accord, or they were written by staffers, is not the point.
the real point is how can people in a country with some of the world's best universities ask such dumb questions.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqhmllq-odw#at=13.
... and if you wonder what reza aslan's views are about jesus, listen to him here, courtesy of all saints church in pasadena a few days ago.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zi4o242d2s.
Don't Christians write about Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, and others? Women write about men, and men write about women. Everybody writes about everybody. So what?
I took religion courses in college about various faiths, and they were all taught by Christians.
Wake-up call!
when the publishing company says that its an issue of conscience it begs the question.how on gods green earth can you make a decision of conscience when you have been manipulated and twisted and distorted by ridiculous group think.. how can you make a decision of conscience when your perception of reality is based on trickery, lies, deceipt and isolation.
how can you make a decision of conscience when you are sold down the river by a cult.. you cannot build your house upon the sand.
well you can but it will get washed away.
They forget to say whose conscience. You are not entitled to your own.
i remember going to the conventions and seeing all the good looking women with their cute butts sticking out of their modest dresses.
the problem was the aftermath of looking at them.
i thought to myself "what would happen if i married her?
Oh, what a painful memory - marrying a "nice elder" with a skilled trade. I knew we had nothing in common except the stupid religion, but I was rebounding (from a "worldly" guy) and I thought I was long in the tooth (I was 21!).
The only thing good about it is that I have my daughter. Her dad hasn't spoken to her for years, but she accepts that freedom has its price.
okay..maybe just locally.
but the newspaper did an article and interview with me about my profession.
check out my video clip at:.
Hi, Diana. I'm happy for you that you have a great profession.
I'm learning stenography, but I'm not quite as dedicated right now as I need to be. I have chosen it as a retirement career, but there are no classes near me. I chose court reporting because there's little to no age discrimination in that field, and I've always excelled at English and spelling.
Which machine and software do you like best? Do you wear anything on your wrists? Maybe I should send you a PM.

While I was listening to this garbage, I thought about a story I heard about a young girl (She was 12 years old, if I recall correctly) who was raped by a neighbor and disfellowshipped. So every family member is required to:
1. Blame the victim.
2. Not blame an all-powerful being who did not step in to help a child who was being raped. A CHILD!
3. Accept and respect(!) the decision of the ape men who disfellowship her, causing her more pain.
4. Remember that if she commits suicide, it's her own fault for "sinning."
Every kingdom hall should be picketed during every meeting from now on.
How can these people sleep at night, knowing what they're doing to people?
