Hello twinkletoes, Interesting post. I probably cannot be of much help to you because I don't really know what I would call myself these days. Sometimes I think I am born again because a number of years ago, after working secularly with a born again for a couple years, I prayed that Jesus would be my saviour. At the time I was a baptized witness but felt they did not have the truth anymore. Since then I have attended different churches in my search for something better. Currently I am not going anywhere. In response to your question, The born again that I knew believed he could be in heaven and also come to the earth if he wished. He believed in the rapture, painful hell, Trinity. Actually, to him if you did not believe in the trinity there was no way one could be a christian. He believed in going to war, tithing. When witnesses would stop at his door, He would invite them in and argue very well about what he believed.

Born Again - what do they believe ?
by twinkletoes inwe have neighbours who have been very sincere "born again" christians, for about ten years.
i know that quite a number of you on this forum are also born again, but my question is, just what do you believe?, i understand that you don't have any particular denomination and appear to join any church service as you wish.
when i used to go out on "field service", i seemed to get different understandings of the scriptures, from born again christians, some seemed to be of the opinion that they would be taken up into heaven and armageddon would wipe the earth clean and then they would be put back on the earth, others seemed to think that they would go to heaven and stay there ?

Was it LB? (help me find a letter)
by hillbilly inhi-- a few months ago i read a real good da letter on this board but alas, i can not turn it up with the search feature.. the crux of the letter was a warning to the boe that is any "alienation of affection" came from the receipt of the letter legal action against the individual elders would be levied.
any one remember that one?.
i used lb's "name in vain" because i think it was his letter.

Blondie, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. They are very much appreciated.
I came across "voting", and it made me remember that I actually voted in the past election. I felt so bad afterward. Like I did something wrong. I wanted to know what it was all about. Being raised a witness, I never voted before.

I am not sure about why certain calls can be reviewed and others cannot. I don't know all the technical details. I just hope the pack wins. I think Garcia threw up some floaters. Did better in the second half. Favre could throw during a tornado and still break the receivers fingers.
I can picture LB going into a store, and taking a packers jersey off the rack and trying it on in the dressing room, taking picture of self, then returning it back to the clerk exclaiming, " I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WAS THINKING!!! I thought this was a 49niners jersey.

Will, I thought that both teams did well. I think maybe Mckenzie should have made that tackle on Owens though. Is there anything in particular that stood out for you?
LOL at LB & Heaven

Blondie,
How do you do that so well? I remember a number of years ago, an elder called to invite me to a special talk. Well, during the watchtower study I was flipping through the watchtower, not always on the exact study page. After a few days he asked how I felt. I said I still continued to have problems with the teachings, etc. He then chastised me for not following along page for page with study. WOW. I did not even know he was looking at me during that time. Talk about complete control!!During the public talk, I work on my personal Bible reading assignment. It looks like I am taking notes and looking up the scriptures but I'm on my own mission.
Actually that is one memory that will be put in my " another reason the watchtower has problems" category.
