  The stupid father of one of my kids.........

  so i go to the trader joes the other day and notice a really attractive .

  woman in produce, but i can't place her....so i follow her over to the bread aisle, and got a better view of her face....but still could not figure out where i knew her from....so i finally said "excuse me, but you look so familiar, i almost know we have met before.

  she looks me right in the eyes and says, (without smiling) "'i'm pretty sure you're the father of one of my kids.

  I had a hard time remembering important dates like anniversaries,etc. So I went to the florist and said,"just always send flowers to my wife on those special days and put it on my account. That worked great until I came home one day and she showed me the flowers. I said" Nice flowers, Where did you get em?"

  i think i must be a bit obsessive.....i cant shut up apostating every chance i get to any old freind or family that will listen.....i drive a lot and jwshit is on my mind more than anything else....and i come here many times a day and it seems like i have been here for two years at least but it is just over a year i believe....every step i take and plan i make is about whether or not i can do it with my wife or behind her back (like otwo and others here).......she is about to go out of town for over a week and it is like i am planning for christmas!!

  !......i cant wait to have friends over i only get to when she is gone....the jw effect is still omnipresent and i dont even know how much 45 years of ingraining has wired my brain.........................oompa.

  Guilty of going on vacation?

  as an addition to minimus question about hating field service, did the society ever succeed in making you feel guilty while you were on vacation?

  i remember during my decade sojourn through the org, there were several articles in the magazines that would talk about how you should use your vacation to spend more time in field service instead of actually relaxing and enjoing yourself (god forbid!).

  there was one article that showed a picture of a family in a station wagon on a highway and the caption read something like "are you heading off to some vacation spot, while your brothers are busy declaring the good news in these critical times?

  If we believe the bible, Then the message it contains is very important for those who have not heard it. It should be what we are 24/7. Always enjoying an opportunity to get the message across about God and his plans for us. I can say that growing up as a witness, I never had that feeling. I always considered it to be a job. Maybe that's why life as a witness was hard for me. It wasn't something in my heart. I didn't like the meetings, field service or giving bible reading talks. A vacation for me would have been like a vacation from that job. A rest period from it. I not only felt guilty about vacations. It was a 24 hour guilt that was a constant part of me. Never measuring up to do the more than I was currently doing.
