  I hate thunderstorms....

  i really hate thunder storms, must admit.

  i try not to hide in my basement anymore though, shuddering in a corner, reading a book by flashlight waiting for them to pass.

  unplugging all electrical applicances, telephone outlets, like a mad woman... looks like we're gonna get one tonight, it's getting closer to us, as per weather.com.

  yesterday i was approached by a man who offered me a free stress test.

  i immediately recognised this as a scientology scam (ok, he was standing outside the scientology building) but it got me thinking.. ireland is a small country, and over 90 percent of the population are catholic.

  most of the rest are anglican or presbyterian.

  The fact that I am posting this at 4:45 AM must mean I do a lot of reading. Not as much posting for the amount of time I have been here though. Thats because not many are interested in what I have to say.

  Redhorse woman, Unitarian Universalist? I went once . Strange they did not pray. Just seemed to be having a good ol time. I guess i wouldn't rule it out again though. I am also of the belief that my wife is very honest -hearted, and I wish we could go together. We did go to that unitarian church together though. She was raised a witness, still believes it she says, but she hasn't gone to meetings since we were married.

  Sixofnine, What kind of liberal church is this. They let dresses go all the way up to an inch above the knee? And those fines are way too cheap. And it seems they let just about anybody in their church, only 2 years notice required? NO THANK YOU! I need to find a church with some kind of structure in place!

  I'm glad youre logged onto this forum tonight lilacs! Thanks for taking the time to reply. Your words are encouraging. I still don't feel contented to not go anywhere though. Maybe that will change in time. I will try to focus more on the relationship, rather than what group i should belong to.

  watchtower.org and freeminds demonized at study

  as we were digesting the spiritual food at the bookstudy tonight [yes i actually had to see this for myself] the topic of watchtower.org and freeminds came up from the elder in charge of the study.he flagrantly discredited freeminds with verbal sarcasm and distain and condemned watchtower.org as apostate and totally demonized the website .during this he mentioned he was not abliged to answer any of the questions that may have been raised about the society and beliefs because he felt that jesus didn't always answer the pharisees with what they would have expected like something that would incriminate himself.then the term legal department was brought to the fore.i really couldn't believe this is their reaction to inquiring minds.

  lilacs, I just read 1 John chapter 2. Thank you. I think i am beginning to understand my situation a little better now. I still feel I need more faith though. I also feel that he deals with us individually. I just figured he wanted us to be together as some sort of organized group, as we were being dealt with individually. Make any sense?

  pomegranate, I read proverbs chapter 2 . It is encouraging. Thank you.

  Does this mean I shouldn't feel bad when I don't go to any church/ kingdom hall ?
