Scientologists break up families! Does this sound familiar?
by 00DAD ini just watched a 2008 nbc nightline special on scientology.
in it, there was an interview with ex-scientologist and former seaorg member astra woodcraft.. among other very interesting statements, she made this telling comment about scientology: .
"if they would just let people who wanted to be there, be there.

Thanaka - A Distinctive Feature of Myanmar
Thanaka - A Distinctive Feature of Myanmar: The remarkably smooth skin of Burmese women is one of these traditions. Thanaka is a yellowish-white cosmetic paste made from ground bark. It is a distinctive feature of Myanmar seen commonly applied to the face and sometimes the arms of women and girls.
I'm surprised the JW women are wearing it. You know there's gotta' be some pagan origin to this!!! -

WillowTrees, there are a lot of ways to be "successful" as a musician. Some of that depends upon how YOU define "success."
First suggestion, read up on copyright laws. Here's a link to a nice primer on US Copyright basics:
As far as opportunities to promote your own music, you might want to check out this website. They post opportunities and have many links to other resources to educate yourself.
Keep us posted,

Honest People that Are NOT JWs! - Who'da thunk it?
by 00DAD inwe all remember reading stories in the wt or awake!
about some righteous jw that found a bag o' money and returned it to the original owner--praise be jehovah!
can i get an amen?--as if no one else on earth would ever do such a thing.

We all remember reading stories in the WT or Awake! about some righteous JW that found a bag o' money and returned it to the original owner--praise be Jehovah! Can I get an Amen?--as if no one else on earth would ever do such a thing.
[Insert Facepalm here]
I thought some of you might appreciate this little bit of news debunking yet another myth from JW-land:
Casino worker finds $10,000 in restroom, turns it right in
A cleaning woman at the Thunder Valley Casino near Sacramento, Calif., hit the jackpot when she found $10,000 in cash in the women's restroom last week. But the lucky woman didn't take the money and run. Instead, Meuy Saelee turned in the stack of Benjamins to her supervisor and got a nice bonus in return for her honesty.
No mention of Jehovah there!
Also in the story:
The Web is full of stories of people doing the right thing when temptation strikes.
Just a few months ago, an Austrian bus driver made headlines for returning a bag with 390,000 euros (nearly $510,000).
Last October, a Vegas cab driver found $221,510 in the back of his taxi; he returned it and got a $2,000 tip.
And in Singapore last November, a taxi driver found a bag with $900,000. When asked why he returned it, the man said, "The money is unimportant to me. It doesn't belong to me, so how can I use it?"
No mention of Jehovah there either!
Apparently there are honest people all over the earth that aren't JWs!!! How can that be?
My Cognitive Dissonance is making my head hurt!

The New Diary of Winston Smith
by WinstonSmith inwe had to go off grid for a time, time and half a time as we thought we had been outed.
fortunately it was a false alarm, but it was a stressful time.
i asked for my original diary thread to be deleted in case there could be anything on there to identlfy mrs smith and i. i am always very careful when posting, and am sure there was nothing on there, but felt it best to have it removed in order to be as cautious as a dove.

Hi Winston,
I'm curious, why not just quit going?
I've followed your story fairly closely and wonder why now you would even consider writing a DA letter?!?
You said that no one calls on you except Sister T.
It seems you pretty much have it made in the fade!
What am I missing?
00DAD
BTW, nice job on handling the elder trying to pin you down on a shepherding call!

So the WTBTS Legal team is "waiting on Jehovah" to rescue them .... Is THAT their legal strategy?
Probably they're hoping "The Big 'A'" will come and they won't have to pay off the judgement. I'm sure Jah will swoop down "soon" and take care of things for them, but it won't be this legal team he'll save, it'll be the "Overlapping Legal Team."
Thanks for the update!
