  did you know of any jw's that still live at home?

  i knew a guy who was about in his 30's back in 2005 who still lived at home.. do you know of any?.

  Are you trying to ask if we know of any adult JWs that still live with their parents as opposed to being out on their own?

  If that's your question, then yes, I have known of several, many in fact.

  i can actually remember at least a couple of instances where someone revealed they were gay on the doorstep to my partner and i and this didn't get rid of us immediately, but it did force us onto the back foot.

  i'm a new member & i'd like to say hi to everyone, intoducing myself.. i am a 3rd generation born-in at mid 50's & an active elder.. english is not my mother language, so pls ignore any grammatical errors.

  i live in a small country in europe.. i'd like to thank you for all information posted.

  some of them have rally helped me to understand and examine again my beliefs.. last new light concerning f&ds=gb has verified the idea that they are popes in the position op pope.. i still believe in god & in his son jesus christ but not in the gb..

  my first year in la went by fast yet at times painfully slow.

  you see, i moved to la from san francisco.

  i always said by the time i am in my 30's i'd be living somewhere warmer, and that i did.

  Cedars: It's also interesting that they should mention shunning - like that's not something they encourage.

  OK, let's review: The WTBTS/JWs are famous for condemning any other group for behavior that is wrong, .... unless THEY do it, then it's not only right, but "Godlike." There is a word for this. It's called hypocrisy.

  Cedars: You could say I'm trapped in an abusive relationship, which appears to be Watchtower's specialty.

  You actually are free to leave anytime you want. You feel trapped as part of the mental manipulation which they've successfully used to control you and millions of other people. That is also part of their specialty.

  Of course once you leave, you will be shunned which brings us back to my first point.

  Cedars: now show the correct viewpoint in their PUBLIC magazine, but there is no attempt to explain or apologise for their contradictory statements 14 months earlier in their "members only" magazine

  I really have a hard time correctly pronouncing this particular phrase:

  "Jehovah's Witnesses are the one true religion on Earth today!"

  I"m not exactly sure why that's so hard for me to say correctly. Can anyone help me out here?

  Interesting article.

  It challenges my sensibilities.

  I do want to be understanding to individuals that may have innate desires and compulsions, powerful drives with which they are born and apparently some even fight to supress. But at the same time, the children need to be protected.

  Of the two, the protection of the children is the more important.

  I have no answers.
