No further education - is the policy backfiring?
by eyeslice init seems to me that there was a softening of the no further education edict for a little while.
but just lately the 'dangers' of pursuing further education and worldly careers has been made a real issue again.
it seems to me though that this has as much danger of driving the very ones they would like to keep, the talented, the bright, the high achievers, out of the organization.

What will be next $$$ scheme of the WTS?
by yknot inso we are rapidly approaching the no mo' interest on construction.
what do you think the wts will do to make up this loss of future income?.
my vote today.... go back to russell's wholesale idea but morph it into a charitable thing like 'angel food ministries", but with liquor.. (gotta get some of that wts stipend money back from bethelites and service boys traveling the territories).

If they do start passing a plate I strongly suggest the Bible Students mobilize, cuz they could really glean some converts. In my area that is a strong held belief. They brag in FS that we don't collect!
Splinter group!!! Splinter group!!! Splinter group!!! The two things that WTS needs are spinter groups and a Laity Class. Another scandal or two couldn't hurt, either. Mustang

I was chatting w/ a guy a work once about my Dad stalking me over going back to the KH. He commiserated, then said he was a Mormon... but not a good Mormon.
I asked what he meant.
He said that after his divorce, he couldn't afford them.
How so? I returned.
He said that they "tithe; not only do they tithe, but they'll send you a bill"!!!

Had a JW visit
by Undecided ina lady knocked on my door and it was a jw who doesn't know me.
