I think it could be entirely possible but it would cause the moon to melt because it's made of cheese. This would create a kind of intergalatic "fondu pot" if you will, thus drawing aliens from around the universe to partake because, hey, who doesn't love some great fondu?

hey i just read on another thread that they dont study the truth book or the paradise book anymore.. omg when i was a dub i was always trying to get studies with the paradise book.. .

just got back from florida where i spent the holidays with family.
about half are jdubs.. this year the prevalent atmosphere of superiority from the jw side of the family was totally toned down.
one of my cousins, a bethelite in upstate ny bethel along with his wife, found out that the wife was having an affair with a young bethelite "brother".
Anyone who could refer to a young person commiting suicide as a "cleaning" is... to borrow a phrase... mentally diseased.
in case you have noticed, several websites that are managed and administered by me are down.
at this moment i do not know specifically why, but my hosting company (secureserver.net) tells me only that it is due to a "copyright infringement.
" i do not even know which of the 30 some sites might actually have the claimed infringement and so far all i've been told is that there is a claim and that i have to email a certain group and they will get back to me.. i have no idea when these sites will come back on line.
The WT temporarily shuts down a few sites? Kind of pathetic really. That's kind of like trying to soak up the Atlantic with a sponge.

There is nothing more infuriatingly frustrating than talking to an "in" JW. You got it off your chest, the cat's out of the bag, and now he knows where you stand. If you want to repair the relationship you could appologise (even though you really have nothing to appologise for. The truth hurts.). You're not appologising because you're wrong, but only for the purpose of repairing the relationship.
I think you probably also know there's no future for the two of you with him "in" and you knowing TTATT. "It" will ALWAYS be there between you... unless you become a JW or he becomes an Ex-JW... and one of those for sure isn't going to happen.

he's asking if i've read the first page of the new watchtower.. says page 8 admits and exposes the society's mistaken expectations.. says that both mags have been adjusted to reflect the understanding of generation.
asking if it is my position that witnesses have made claims to be inspired prophets.... and saying if it is, maybe *we* can consider together some examples in the bible of others who have had wrong expectations and have gone ahead of god's timetable and see how god handled that..

Define the difference with your friend between a "prophesy/prediction" and an "expectation". The WT loves to exchange those words as it suits them when they are 2 different things. Second, in the Jan. WT (thanks 00Dad) there was never a prophesy/prediction mentioned in any of those verses they cited. Your buddy will probably cite the same verses. Those were wrong expectations, while the Society has commited false prophesy.
Show him Deut 18:21 where it says even one false prophesy makes them a Biblical false prophet & should be avoided.
Then he'll say, "They weren't prophesies, they were just predictions." Then show him the Aug. 15, 2012(?) WT with the mushroom cloud on the cover where they criticize Harold Camping (the May 21st nut). They call his May 21st balony both a "prediction" & a "prophesy". So a prediction is a prophesy.
I will echo an earlier post. I had a very good friend that I knew long before the WT abducted him. He assured me nothing would ever change between us. He now hates me because I patiently asked him questions he couldn't answer.
