Hey what's wrong with the normal method of JW dating. As soon as you are 16 or 17 meet someone at the Convention, 'court' for 6 months, marry and have the 4th child just in time for your 21st birthday. It works for 99.9% of Witnesses and results in happy, strong and stable marriages, no really, it does! :)

There'll be a Watchtower study before too long explaining it and making it all as clear as mud as they 'tack' and wriggle to convince the drones they were right all along. We just have to wait on Jehoovers faithful and discreet slave..........heh.

I do the Lottery here in the UK every now and then. I've not won anything though. I did pick seven numbers for a friend in Norway and five came up a few months back, the prize was only about £100 I think so no early retirement yet. :)

Ex-Jehovah's Witness Support Group Makes the News
by Kenneson inthis small group is located in tuscon, arizona.
some of the members, fearing reprisals (disfellowshipping), choose anonymity.
most have reached this stage in their lives thanks to the internet and forums like ours.

Their sickening excuses never change. You are not naive berylblue. I was out in my garden today thinking about how bloody glad I was no longer subject to the effluvia pumped out by the Watchtower.

An elder left a paper at my door
by JH insince the last 6 weeks, the elders are trying to get a hold of me, but i specialize in being invisible.
so now they left a little paper at my door asking that i call elder x so that he can talk to me.
do you think i should keep on avoiding them since they are about to end their 3 month call on inactive ones?

Pin the paper to the toilet wall, you never know when you might get food poisoning. :)

I need to ask a question...
by nightwarrior inafter reading flowers posting about her brother, it really got me thinking (a dangerous occupation with me) lol, what is it about the jws, that when you are in the org, you feel that you are in the'right religion', and then wham, something happens, to make you realise that things are not so rosey as you were first led to believe.. so my point is.. when you leave the 'org' you feel such great relief, as if a burden has been lifted from your shoulders, and that you feel that at long last (as in my case) you can really develop a good relationship with our creator... but, if it were the 'true religion' surely we would feel downhearted and oppressed in leaving, and really we would not want to leave at all, as all things would be made clear to us, and we would feel happy again, but that is not the case.. i hope that this makes sense.
as at the moment my mother and sisters are still not speaking to me, it has now been a month, and the tatic i know, is that by (hopefully) ignoring me, i will come to my senses and return to the fold, and maybe even leave my sweet talking evil slave class husband!!
(yeah right).

I felt the real freedom of living outside the WT control everytime I missed a meeting. When I went on holiday and didn't spend eons searching out the local congregation so I didn't 'miss any meetings'. Life is for living and not for spending in a constant state of fear waiting for God to destroy the world. Constant reminders that we might not even get through to the new system from the self-righteous. Worrying about questions like "Have I done enough???" Blah, what a bloody waste of a time. I've lost count of the older jw's I have seen die in this system after decades of waiting for the end. There is a beautiful world and a full life outside the shackles of witnessdom, all we have to do is make the choice to go and find it!

What is the worst thing about leaving?
by sleepy in.
everyone probably has a slightly different experience when leaving the witnesses.the worst aspect about this for me is the realisation that my enteire life has been lived and directed by a false premiss, and the effect past decisions now have on my life.. it can make me feel sick in the stomach on occation.. also the idea that friends and family think i have tuned bad or evil to have left jehovah is qute disturbing at times.

The thing I missed most was, doing a hard days work, rushing home, bolting my dinner, getting showered shaved and changed into a suit in time to drive to the KH and partake in the wonderful spiritual feast provided by the faithful and discreet slave........... or maybe not. :)

Remembering the Truth
by ScoobySnax ini have no argument left in me, and no desire to fight really.
when i was inactive i used to look at ex-jws with placard boards outside assemblies or conventions, i knew these people existed even if they were a bit "wacky".
i always used to wonder why these people did this, and to be honest i didn't like them, they looked creepy stood there with their flip charts outside a stadium.

What is the 'Truth'? The truth of today, the truth of 5 years ago, the truth of 10 20 or 30 years ago, they are all different. The 'Truth' is a nice bit of cult speak created by the WTBS.
