i was there for the birth.

Congtatulations!!!! Tatiana, to be there for the birth makes it extra special. I have a feeling that little baby is going to be one "spoiled" little boy. There is a big difference between being spoiled and being a brat. Enjoy every moment.

Do You Have Any Elder Fantasies???
by minimus insphere gave a comment on my thread about wanting to beat someone up and he/she said that they had elder fantasies.
do you have any elder fantasies that you would like to share?

just one, to help one of my brothers (an elder of course) to see the wrongs of the WTBTS. The rest of my sibs have made it out of there.

Well I finally got the cajones.....
by hoodwinked ingidday to all you "apostates"....or should i say "truth-seekers" on j-w.com .
i have been "lurking" on this board for about 3 months and i finally feel ready to say something about the situation that i am in right now.
it's rather tenuous because i was recently baptised <1yr ago.

Nice post Hoodwinked, btw WELCOME!
If one's not in a clique, or one's not related to everyone else, good luck to ya! They say that we are all brothers in the faith but try cracking some of the fleshly-family "cliques", or just regular old "buddy-buddy" cliques that are abundant.
I used to think this was a problem in the congregation I was in....until I moved and saw the same problem again. By the time I was DF'd and moved to another town (3rd cong.) I wasn't ready to give them a chance. I was reinstated but did an immediate fade. The 3rd was nice enough when I was reinstated but by them my faith in kindness was lost, and I wasn't going to go thru the anguish of finding out. I do agree there are some very sincere sweet people who are trying to do the right thing, however they seem to be few and far between. I believe those few will receive blessings for being christain.

Did You Ever Want To Beat Someone Up?
by minimus inwe hear how the miracle of the truth changes people.
those that had animalistic qualities have become sheep.
those that had violent tempers learned real self-control.if you're not a "believer" anymore, have you ever wanted to just smack a person because they irritated you?.....there is one co that i wouldn't mind whacking, still, after all these years.

Re: Did You Ever Want To Beat Someone Up?
Once in a while I like to beat everyone in the house up. If I get up earlier, I have a few moments to myself before starting my day.

Welcome DBQ. I am absolutely floored by what your family has gone through. How has your sister reacted to this? At 14 I am sure she hadn't fully understood what happened. Looking forward to tomorrow for Part 2.
Is it tomorrow yet?

Did The Elders Seem Eager To Disfellowship You?
by minimus indid you ever feel that the elders just wanted you out?
in your experiences with the elders, did you feel "love" displayed at the judicial meeting, or did you sense that you were dealing with, the star of dragnet,"just the facts, please."?
in all the years that i was an elder, i think i only wanted to disfellowship a person once.

Eager? Maybe, maybe not. There wasn't any hesitation. I really felt that the outcome was predetermined before I met with them.

Good for you Sandy. I started my own search a little over a year ago. I agree with duckie, it can take you thru a wide range of emotions, but that is sometimes part of the process in healing. I couldn't begin to tell you how many hours I spent lurking and searching. I would get impatient because I did not find enough time in the day to get thru all of the information. I read COC within the week I bought it and immediately ordered In Search of Christain Freedom. These books are a great aid to seeing what the average jw doesn't have privy to, but we must each draw our own conclusions. I also did a lot of research on cults and mind/emotional control. jgnat's advice to stop and smell the roses rings true too, sometimes it gets a little overwhelming.
Karla.
