Music suggestions for my sisters party......
by ScoobySnax inok rather foolishly, (my sister is celebrating her 15th wedding anniversary this weekend), and she's asked her favourite of all time brothers (me of course) to sort out the music.
any ideas bout what you'd play, the family and friends (from past experience) are a bit of a lively lot.
and me, being me, i've got all that fantastic 70's 80's music stuff lined up in my my mind.

you should research that year and play some music that were chart toppers then.

District Assembly talks about apostates............
by integ indistrict assembly 5/24/03 3:40 pm "beware of the voice of strangers".. 1) counterfeit words: beware of those using "counterfeit words".
2) flirting: young ones need to avoid being lured into relationships with un-believers.. 3) you trust your christian parents...listen to them.
you also trust those taking the lead among you..such as elders.

Does your cat eat grass?
by JH inmy cat lives inside, and once in a while i bring her outside.
i bring her outside to walk and get exercise, but no she sits there and eats grass.
that's all she does is eat grass.. then she comes back inside and a few hours after she throws up the grass she ate.

OTOH I believe grass is a medication for cats & dogs, it helps cats get the fair ball up out of their throat,
Brummie, I saw this from your post after hitting the link that Reborn had on the licking thread. Now if cats would stop licking there they wouldn't have to dislodge those "fair balls".

Another Df'ing/suicide...in memory of a dear friend...
by Ghost of Esmeralda inthings have calmed down again with my mother to the point where i found myself once again in her kitchen last night.
drinking too many cups of coffee as i always do at her house, i imagine if i were a smoker i'd have been lighting one cigarette after another instead.
it had been a pleasant enough evening, i sat there with my crocheting in my lap, something i always take with me to my mother's house so that if i get nervous or stressed out, my hands, and my mind, have something to do and somewhere to go.

Hugs right back at you!
Talking to you was therapy for me. I had thoght about starting a thread about it too. I decided to watch the board this weekend and post something this week. It is such a terrible loss. I knew "Drew" in his childhood years, and you were able to share so much of his later ones. Thank You.
forgive me, I forget who it was that posted that he must've been proud to have a friend like me. that is so kind of you to say, but honestly, it has to be the other way around. i am so proud that he was my friend, i only wish i could've helped him somehow...
Don't underestimate yourself. He and his family had asked about you when he couldn't contact you because of the shunning situation. He cared very much about you by doing this. He was the type of person who gave from the heart, you truly were his friend. He left us a legacy of wonderful memories to cherish.
I feel I have found a friend in you too, I want to stay in contact.

Thank you for your wonderful description of Drew. I shared early memories of him, as you shared the later ones. He had a heart that no one can match. Thank you for giving me a view of his later life. Your post is a beautiful tribute to the person he was. I am at a loss in describing my sorrow.
