by Debbie Klick ina so called friend of mine sent me this link to a music video.. the song seems to be ridiculing jehovah's witness's and their practise.. but more disconcerting is the visual content, which actually shows the assault and murder of a jehovah's witness.. i can appreciate there is an element of humour involved, but find it in pretty poor taste.. and in no way a positive message to the populace and for the safety of jehovah's witness's in general.. .

I really don't understand their thinking. Are they trying to run the organization into the ground? It's hard enought to find a job so you can give Mother money with a degree. The society is going to kill itself with these policies of no higher education.

Bloody Mary recipe
12 ounces vodka
4 cups tomato juice
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
Worcestershire sauce to taste
Tabasco to taste
black pepper celery stick for garnish
Combine the vodka, the tomato juice, the lemon juice. Add the Worcestershire sauce, the Tabasco, and black pepper. Shake the mixture well, taste and add more Worcestershire sauce, tabasco and black pepper as necessary. Strain it into tall glasses filled with ice cubes. This is delicious even without vodka. It tasted better after an hour in the refrigerator, still tasted good two days later.

eh... I've tried. He usually convinces me to have a bible study once a year ot so. They usually end with some question that he can't answer from the bible, and "I'll get back to you on that one." Then I don't hear from him for a few months. Same thing happenedthe last time I saw him before today.

Cost of new Kingdom Halls?
by Blttex ini have been told that the cost to build a new kingdom hall is $500k +.
i have a background in commercial construction and this seems pretty high to me, considering all the free labor.
that is just the cost of the building, excluding the lot price.

I suppose it would largely depend on the area the hall is built in. I read in a post on here that the WTS was claiming it needed 2-3 mil. per hall in Southern California.

Cool Jam! I watched my grandma get one. I've never had a hole in one. I've hit the flag stick a few times. My closest was on a driveable par 4. The ball was hanging half way over the hole when I walked up to it. Damn thing was literally hanging on by a blade of grass. One day I suppose.

Haha... thanks guys! It was a great morning with conversation never meandering into Jdub land. I shot an 81 and he broke a hundred for the first time. It's been years since I've been to the kingdom hall. The golf course is a much better way to spend Sunday morning. Hopefully he'll come out and play more often in the future.
