its sad to think that if you are in the 'truth' that discrimination is so blatant, this works in your favour if you happen to be male and have the 'privalage' of being an elder.

as this will mean that as an elder he will probably be aware of any persons attending the kh who have had allegations made against them or convicted of child abuse.

if the 'privalaged' elder has children of his own then he is in a better position to protect his children from abuse or contact with the abuser.

Where does this leave the widows and orphans or the 'bros and sis' who are merely publishers with 'no insider' information- more importantly who does it leave the innocent children of these ones prey to???.

Why are sisters not allowed to wear trousers???

after posting a reply to another thread i wondered if anyone can answer these questions??.

1. why are sisters not allowed to wear trousers?.

2. when sisters where a skirt why have they got to be below the knee?.

we also had to look like we were 50years old when we were 15year old teenagers and wear flat sheep skin boots with sheep skin gloves and coat( it wasn't mutton dressed as lamb it was lamb dressed as mutton-- literally!! Ah but if you were really good on the doors and knew your bible you had a fingerless glove on one hand to find the scriptures !! and a bobble hat.

just to see what would happen or if anybody said anything i recently attended a meeting in trousers ( im female) and guess what i dont think anybody noticed at least they never commented to my still going strong husband.

Do the English dislike the Welsh (vice versa)!!!

since living in wales, for years iv beeen told how the english hate welsh and vice versa,so whats all this about anyway is it some kind of ancestry thing,i mean i dont find anything wrong with the english and try to get on with most.what is it that english and the welsh dont like about each other.im confused!!!!!!

i thought is was more like the welsh dont like the english because we invaded the mainland and pushed all the celts into corners.

however the english dont like the welsh speaking welsh when they visit wales although from having welsh friends this is the way they speak all the time epesially in the north of wales and not to just spite the english

welsh friends do admit however that sometimes degrading comments are made to/about english in welsh eg in pubs etc and they are ashamed of this

after going back and forth in e-mail with my jw daughter, i got a chance to tell her about the wts` scandal with the un.

me being a mom still wanted to try and make a difference in my daughters life.

so i sent her an e-mail, i talked about every day goings on.

if i was your daughter i'd be quite upset that you'd shared your personal post to her with numerous folk who she knows knothing about.

and surely if you believe in freedom of choice, her choice should be repected and understood, just as you feel you should be respected for the choices you've made without being judged and shunned for!!!
