I thought I should break my silence briefly to make the following statement:

I wholly and categorically apologize for trespassing item 6 of the Posting Guidelines by providing a PayPal address by which those who had expressed an interest in helping to fund my survey could do so. This was an extremely ill-advised action on my part. I have already apologized to Lady Lee and Simon for this, and will continue to apologize to anybody who feels personally affronted by my conduct in this matter. I also apologize for any similarly-inadvertent trespassing of item 11. This is a matter of sincere regret on my part.

I regret the comments that I made on this post about Lady Lee's work as a moderator. Despite any momentary lapse in her judgment regarding the scamming issue in not running her concerns past me first, she gives of her time voluntarily and makes a notable contribution towards making this forum a safer place for all concerned. Whilst some of her comments that were made were unfortunate and a cause of offence to me personally, I cannot excuse the way I reacted, and I also apologize for this whole-heartedly, and extend the hand of friendship to Lady Lee.

Lady Lee has come wading in with more wild assumptions, the latest being that I paid $400 and expected to be reimbursed. In actual fact, I paid 23 Euros as a first instalment on a yearly plan, and was encouraged when a number of members came forward and told me that they would contribute if we wanted to continue with the service.

None of the free websites offer anything close to the quality of service offered by surveymonkey.

Lady Lee - I no longer have any desire to discuss this with you, as you have shown yourself to be a reckless and unreasonable mod by claiming that I am running a scam when nothing could be further from the truth. I notice that you haven't apologised for making this wild accusation, even though I apologised straight away for wrongly giving people the opportunity to make contributions.

I don't want to have anything to do with a forum where people like you are chosen to moderate. I'd like to wish you all the best with your efforts to quench and repel all ingenuity.

as a parting gift to you all before i take a much needed break from this forum, i thought you would be pleased to know that the independent, a leading uk newspaper, will be publishing a piece on the "mentally diseased" watchtower article in tomorrow's edition.. i would like to thank everybody who has assisted the journalist, jerome taylor, in his investigation.. best wishes to all of you,.

Thanks MM, I'll see how I feel after I've calmed down a bit. If I do return it will be infrequently, and viewing the forum in a completely different light to how I naively viewed it in the beginning.

I'm glad something came of this media project. I look forward to reading the article, and whether the Society or the authorities had anything to say as part of the investigation.
