candace conti in particular did an amazing job, and the comments from the journalists show how appreciative they were of her bravery in speaking out on such a personal issue.. bill was also informative with some of the firsthand accounts he was able to give.. .

Hi Ruby456 - the RNA is an association of journalists and writers, including freelancers, who write about religion. They do not promote religion per se, they just cover it.
Here is their website... http://www.rna.org/

some interesting quotes.... while it is wise not to believe everything we read in the news, it does not follow that there is nothing we can trust.
the key may be to have a healthy skepticism, while keeping an open mind.tone: when the tone of a news item is angry, spiteful, or highly critical, it suggests that an attack is under way and not a reasoned argument.sources: is there evidence of thorough research?

I have such an enjoyable and fulfilling life that I have to pinch myself sometimes and make sure I'm not dreaming.
...and that's all we can honestly ask in life!
Paul, your website was instrumental in my own awakening and I continue to refer to it in my research and reference it in my articles. I can't thank you enough for the diligent effort you have put in to helping others break free from indoctrination through reason. You continue to be an inspiration!

marilyn manned the helpline for many years, and touched the lives of so many effected by the wt.
she will be missed.. coffee .
Very sad news indeed. I never had the pleasure of meeting her, but it's obvious from these first few comments that she made a difference.
My condolences to her friends and family.

Oh yes - I should mention that it's a great video! I only wish all the comments it makes about friendship could be applied to Jehovah's Witnesses.

Cedars-- are you going to come out with an article in which you apply Awake's criteria to their own literature?
Not a bad idea! I'm undecided at the moment precisely what to do with this. I've only just recently done an article on Watchtower ramping up the paranoia among JWs. It seems they are doing this to such an extent I can barely keep up, at least at the moment.
When it comes to finding material to write about, they do all the hard work for me. I'm spoilt for choice.
