Tampa wins the Superbowl I think - unless they can't pressure Gannon, if he has time in the pocket he will kill Tampa.
Woo hoo. Picked it right. I think it's safe to say that the Bucs got a little pressure on Gannon
so, here are my first round playoff predictions (as if any of you care...lol!
colts 23, jets 15 (the jets had their super bowl vs. the packers).
packers 21, falcons 17 (i have a hunch that atlanta may pull the upset but you can't root against the pack at lambeau).

has anyone else been told about this...... word out of hq bethel has it that the upcoming special international conventions will contain some kind of major information or releases.. we know the gb has been rather quiet the last couple years after their 'reorganizing'.
perhaps because they are facing the sex abuse scandal..... but also likely they have been working on some fancy surprises for the upcoming special international conventions, to excite their masses......... and also try to detract them from the scandals.
it would be good timing of their part.. this should be interesting......... .
I've got an idea. How about ...
Change the Sun meeting to a lazy morning in bed, then brunch w/ wife/kids/family. Later watch football or do some outdoor activity.
Change Tues bookstudy to nothing, allow kids time for normal kid activities - like homework, dinner, school sports/clubs.
Ditto Thursday.
Can FS altogether. See above re: 'normal' family activities.

3. Due to declining revenues, naming rights will be used at District and Circuit Assemblies. Examples given included "Lovers of God District Assembly by Panasonic ... and ... Millenium of Peace District Assembly by Coca Coca
4. Sponsorship will also be given to the Announcement portion after the song in the middle of program (the time when nobody is sure whether so stand or sit). It will be worded such as "After the song, the Ford Motor Company, builders of fine quality cars for over 90 years, invites you to remain standing for Announcements"
LOL RubaDub! You'r killing me today!
don't care how you are slanted "politically" - this should be of great concern to all americans:bush plans to let religious groups get building aid.
by eric lichtblau.
ashington, jan. 22 the bush administration plans to allow religious groups for the first time to use federal housing money to help build centers where religious worship is held, as long as part of the building is also used for social services.
I firmly believe that WTBS will have their greedy hands out...of course using the fact that they are furthering an educational program worldwide
After thinking about this more, I am left with one realization. That the WTBTS will without a doubt grab ahold of this money in some way. The question is how. How 'enforced' will this money be? Will the WTBTS be able to get away with building 'educational centers' (seems like everything they build lately falls into this catagory) with this money? If so, will these 'education centers' be open for public use? If not why? It's MY money building them after all!!
I say if this does happen, I for one will be more than willing to force the 'public access' issue. I wonder how the dubs would like it if I camped out in the assembly hall educational center for a few days? Under court protection?

I think cruzanheart is on to something. It'll be a "Look over here! See this bright shiny object? Ignore that mess in the corner ... look at the pretty bright shiny object ... "

Who wants to bet that if this program flies that the WTBTS will 'suddenly' get 'new light' about charitable work?
i was just looking over some of the scans of the km; now, i haven't seen a km for almost ten years, so maybe this isn't that new: but when did they start providing publishers with a presentation for the wt and awake magazines?
i remember sweating over my presentation every time new mags were featured.
when did this start?.
I noticed this a while back and it took me by surprise at first too. But it falls into place with all the other 'dumbing' down taking place. To be a JW you truely do not have to make any effort to think anymore - just regurgitate a canned sales pitch at the one door a month that actually opens to your weak knock (the rest are not at homes). Or you can sit at a table and pass mags/tracts to passerbys with no more than a "Here - would you like a tract?".
Talks? No problem. Even the 'bible reading' (which is now also a WT reading some weeks!!!!!!!) takes NO preperation anymore. Just read the assigned verse/paragraphs. I guess the sisters aren't off the hook yet - they still have to think up a 'setting' and hand preparee the talks, but really, any inventivness in those #3/4 talks went away years ago. They're all the same now.
Answering at meetings? No problem. With questions like "What is Jehovah's name?" even the brightest JW can get it 'right'.
im not sure if is prudent to post this here.
i have a contact ( relative ) that is very close to a writing department researcher.. he claims that there was a private extraordinary meeting that was had about 6 months ago.
9 of the gb members were present and a handfull of elitists that apparently no-one knows or would recognise.
LOL RubaDub. I love the 'scoring' system. It just might work!
as of 6:02 pm last night i received a facsimile from paul hoeffel at the un on the wts.. he gave me 3 of the 4 things i requested in two paragraphs.. i have sent a scanned version to steve bates and someone else.. i sent it to kent and randy.
and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .
after you look at kent's web site and you people still think this it is a fake letter, phone paul hoeffel yourself at (212) 963-8070.. hawk
Please do not feed the trolls!!!!

Interesting if true. I don't doubt that a LOT of meetings have taken place amongst the people in power at Crooklyn. Trying to damage control all the negative press lately. I also don't think that any 'reform' will involve anything other than more flogging of the flock though. It's all they know how to do.
