In order to be effective there would probably need to be a peace accord between ex-jws who are atheist and those who still believe in god.

Great crowd? How many witnesses actualy live up to society standards?
by awakening ini often looked around the hall and assemblies and wondered how many were like me, just going through the motions.
even when i wasnt awake i knew that if armagedon came i would not meet the standard for survival.
would it be fair to say that only half of all witnesses really feel up to standard?.

i came to the realization that if jesus judged using WT standards no one would survive. If he is anything like the way he is decribed by the gospels everyone will survive.

Discussion with family member who is an Elder in our congregation
by Newly Enlightened inso about a week ago, i showed my cousin & her husband [an elder in our congregation] the picture on pg 29 of our 4/15/2013 study wt and asked, "if jesus is head of the congregation then where is he?".
after several minutes of searching, dead silence.. i then asked if they had heard the part on the 2012 summer district conv the part about "our spiritual mother, where the c.o said that "the bible by itself does not shine thru as life-giving truths just by itself.
" they were shocked and said that i must have misheard it because that would be apostasy.

I finally told my parents
by nolongerconfused inso as some of you already may know, i have stopped going to meetings for good and have nothing to do with wbts anymore...did not write a letter of disassociation because i dont believe an organization should spiritually execute me for rejecting men's tradition and false doctrine...some of you may recall i spoke to my wife and are in good terms, even though she's still an active jw.
my parents are both active jw's...when i visited them yesterday, they clearly did not expect me to tell them i had left the "org"...to my huge surprise, after i explained to them i had found ttatt (truth about the truth) and gave compelling evidence of my reasoning, and using the scriptures, they totally sided with me...i was dumbfounded...one of my parents even brought up ray franz and his book coc....i was like wtf??.
they told me all of these years they never had the guts to say anything about the hypocrisy in this org and they were glad that i as their son was able to step up and believe what is right and what is on the bible...they re-assured their love to me and they were happy i had found happiness in jesus christ and the need to have a personal relationship with him and not through a man made organization.... i totally did not expect this response from my parents...but it just leaves me to think that there are thousands of active jw's out there feeling the same way and don't have the courage to step up to the org...still don't know what they are going to do, but i got the feeling they will do the same eventually and move on from the wbts.... have a great week everyone.

The 2013 Special Talk "Does Death End It All"... Spanish version eliminates the word "Nanotechnology"

"despite nanotechnology, humans can neither create life nor restore it.".
well apparently, the english-to-spanish translator (who wrote the spanish version of the 2013 special talk outline) apparently realized that the use of the word "nanotechnology" in this outline was completely irrelevant and childish... so he simply substituted the word "nanotechnology" with the phrase "great scientific advancements".

spanish was my first lang and i grew up in a spanish cong. I have always noticed major discrepencies between the english mag and spanish ones. Even bigger ones when you see the asl Wtowers.

pretty popular. Gave talks in spanish, english and asl all over the area. Gave exp at assemblies and came out in demos and dramas. Gave it all up for freedom. I never really looked back and Ive never been happier!
