i bet jesus would have been df'd by the "elders" in his day.

lets think about it, jesus hung out with "worldly" people.

his closest friends were known prostitutes, money collectors, men of "prominence" in the world of that day, non "beleivers" of the "faith" like samaritans, and many others that todays "elders" would have deemed "unworthy".. jesus spoke against the "organization" and "elders" of his day.

I bet Jesus would have been DF'd by the "elders" in his day. Lets think about it, Jesus hung out with "worldly" people. Jesus spoke against the "organization" and "elders" of his day. Heck, the scribes and pharisees were the religious leaders, and would have been equal to todays elders. Well, Jesus condemned them and their running of the congregation. That would have branded you an "apostate", by todays Elders standards.

Jesus, probably would have been shunned and considered "spiritually dead", in a congregation today, by its Elders, simply because he wasnt baptised till 30 years old. I mean, he was only the son of God, what did he know. JW children today should know what it means to dedicate your LIFE, by the tender age of 15 or 16, THE MOST. Otherwise, there must be something wrong with you, and your relationship with God, and btw you should be forever judged by it. Just because Jesus himself waited till he was 30, shouldnt mean anything.

Jesus wouldnt have gotten any privileges by todays Elders. He would have been considered on the fringe, and not fully dedicated to the organization. No microphone holding for him, no Watchtower reading for him, no sir, he probably wouldny have even been a publisher.

Jesus's re-teaching of scripture, and re-writing of the law, and speaking out against Isreal/organization, would have been the last straw for todays Elders. Yes, they WOULD have Disfellowshipped even Jesus himself, in todays organization. Technically putting him to death, just like the scribes and pharisees of his day. The Elders, as the "supposed" shepards of the flock, would have thrown Jesus to the "wolves", and DF'd him.This is just like todays Elders, who claim to be shepards, but think nothing of throwing their sheep to the "world", to fend for themselves. What "wonderful" flock leaders, i bet they would have put Jesus to death too.

first of all thank you for the nice welcoming messages i received !.

as you know they are reducing bethel families to the minimum, services etc...here s what i heard from 2 different sources (one from africa, one from europe).. - "official" reason given : "end is now, no more time to build, we all need to preach!"..

- all members are invited to go and support where the need is great in the congregations (not necessary their own), missionaries aren t sent back to their counties of origin.. - i have no info regarding huge kh building program...is it still on?

Did you see a GB member ever...

today i read a news topic about the pope in the us.

of course, we were all indoctrinated that the pope is the devil himself.

but, did you see a gb member or a local wts official ever giving attention to a paralyzed witness?

Oh shit, i just remembered another time i had a direct dealing with a GB member. I was having lunch at Brooklyn headquarters, on "special" invite. This was over 20 years ago, and had to do with my father, and my fathers old college professor. My fathers old professor was very interested in Bethels workings, and had visited many years earlier, and was quite impressed with how efficiently they did certain things, basically cost saving ways they would work the factories. During that visit the professor had made friends with some of the older, prominent Bethel members, like Russ Kerson(not sure of spelling).

Anyway, since my father was the student that was the catalyst in getting his professor there all those years ago, and friendships were made, the prof never became a witness btw, a reunion of sorts was made, hence our "special" invitation to Bethel. So, at lunchtime, all of us, my father, me , mom, sister, my Dads old professor, and Russ kerson, all sat at a very special lunch table. At this table was a governing body member. I honestly dont remember his name, but what i do remember are 2 things. First, he was an old bag at about 80 something, BUT he had a very pretty, hot, younger sister as his wife. Even my Mom commented on that one. Second, i couldnt help but watch how he ate, he was mixing all his food together into one big, mushy, lump of food. I remember lima beans, mashed potatoes, and whatever the protein was, all globbed together first, before even taking a bite, and then once it was all mushed together on the middle of his plate, he started to eat it all. It was weird and gross.

I had Brother Henschel go to my ex-wifes bridal shower, as a person of "honor". I personally met him a few times, btw this was all over 20 years ago. He was "friends" with my ex-grandmother in law. She would kiss his ass, and give him money and "gifts", all the time, so he was always "on the take" and hanging with her. My ex-grandmother in law, was a very well to do woman, and she made sure everyone new it.

She would call Bro. Henschel, her "personal angel", and in her mind, she thought by showering him with cash and jewelry, she had a shoe into the new system. She figured that when he croaked, he would judge her "worthy" at Armagedon.

NOT ONCE, did this GB member, tell her kindly, "please its not like that, i am a lowly servant like you for Jehovah" . Instead his hand was out, ALL THE TIME, and filling his pocket with cash. This is not all BS, i witnessed this, with my own eyes, when i was in my early 20's, and newly married to this womans grandaughter.

My ex-grandmother in law, made sure Henschel was ay her grandaughters, my ex-wife's, bridal shower. He was the ONLY male there, and sat at a table of prominence, like he was a God. He went, he didnt say, " thank you anyway, but it would not be appropriate, for me to go", NOPE, he went. He probably looked at it as a "business investment of his time", because by going, he ensured that my rich grandmother in law would keep the cash going. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!

@Listener - Exactly, this Elder had a trophy room in his house, with a taxidermied bear, geese, racoons, fox, pheasants, a ram, and all hunted by HIM, not bought. I saw this room personally, with my own eyes. Now dont get me wrong, perhaps many of those animals were hunted at different times in his life. I do beleive that recently he goes back and forth between being an Elder and not, but he is 100 PERCENT in GOOD standing in the "truth", right now, AND he is 100 PERCENT hunting for sport, RIGHT NOW in his life. I know this for a FACT, he has hunted on MY PROPERTY in UPSTATE NY, SHHHHHHH. HYPOCRITES.

Oh, i got another one. Onetime a few of us "brothers" went and played paintball. It was a days outing, we rented the paintball guns, and had fun shooting each other with paint. Somehow it got found out by the elders, and they were "appalled".

We were all spoken to, and told how wrong and bad it was. They actually thought it was so bad, that a "local needs" talk needed to be given about it.

The Elder who gave the talk, was all "fire and brimstone". Saying how it was "warlike", and "unchristian", and Jesus would have NEVER approved. The sheeple in the congregation, were audibally gasping at how horrible it was, and shaking their judgemental heads, back and forth.

The "kicker" to all this, however, is that the Elder who gave that talk, WAS A HUNTER. He owned REAL guns, and hunted for sport, even having an animal trophy room in his home. Btw, we all lived in a borough of NYC, he didnt hunt out of "necessity", just for sport. I could care less about it, its his right, but dont judge 17 year old kids for playing with paintball guns. Do they really think that "alienating" us to the rest of the congregation, thru a talk from the platform, would draw us closer to the fold, IDIOTS.

I remember being "ratted" on by this self-righteous, crazy, pioneer sister. She was in my house to use the bathroom, since her and my Mom were working field service, and our house was in the territory. The door to my room was open, and she was passing by my room, and of course, snooping around, sticking her head inside my room. I had a "fantasy" game set up on the floor. It was kind of like a board game, but the "pieces" were medeival soldiers, dragons, orcs, and stuff like that.

Well, the next meeting i was called in the back by the elders, and accused of "demon worship", and having Satanic "things". Just so you know, this was a board game you could buy in TOYS R US.

i never really had any studies to speak of, but my parents did have many over the years, and every single one of them was batsh!t crazy in some way.

there was one lady we kids affectionately termed "dirty robin" (her name was robin) and yes, she was very dirty.

her kids were filthy and rarely wore clothes.

@Dubstepped - Yeah, my parents are awesome human beings. They have even tried to apologize for raising me in the "truth", and i told them that i dont regret a thing, its all good. If i could not speak to them or they held the unloving "hard line", maybe i would feel diffrent. But i have a great relationship with them. My father and I have been business partners for over 20 years. Because of them NOT shutting me off, they get to have the wonderful privilege of knowing my 7 year old daughter, and having a relationship with her and my family.

The best is, that a few years ago, the same jerk-off piece of shit Elder who DF'd me, and what a story i could tell about that(another time, maybe), he tried to talk to my father about his relationship with me being DF'd and all, and my Dad told him "where to go". It was awesome.

Crazy Study Stories

I remember a few loonies over the years, that were studies of my parents too. A lot of them were just weird people, with odd circumstances. There were many drug users, many "loners" looking for friendships, and some that were "concerned" with the human plight, but were just odd balls.

A lot of times, i would have to deal with these studies children, as i was dragged along to these studies by my parents. Btw, i am not going to make this about how shitty my parents as JW's were for doing this, because i love my parents and have no resentment for what they did, out of love for others, in the past. I am DF'd for almost 20 years and they are BOTH in my life, and talk to me like nothing ever happened. My parents are the old school, who are still in the Borg, but see the hypocrisy and are very much on the fringe and done with the WTS BS, its just they still "love" Jehovah, and i wont judge them, like they NEVER judged me.

Anyway, back to the crazy studies, like i said, i was usually stuck with these crazy peoples, crazy kids. I was a mild tempered, low key kid. Never played rough with my toys, and shit like that. Well to me, these kids were "nuts", lol. I would have to endure being forced to wrestle for my 8 year old life in their rooms, and they were in shorts and a T-shirt, while i had a dress shirt,pants, and tie on, lol. Toys would be "whipped" at my head, markers drawn on my arms, books slammed on my head, lol. To my 8 year old mind, the homes and kids were sceavy, and dirty, and my breath would have to be held.

I remember one house where the kids, who were like 3 and 5 years old, would literally beat up, there almost invalid 80 year old grandfather, and he would have like black eyes and bruises. One study, the husband and wife, must have gotten into domestic violence, during the week, and everytime we would go for the study the HUSBAND would have a new black eye. I remember a 4 year old kid "licking" my mothers arm, while she is "studying" with the kids mother. The study would be like, "OH its ok, he is just playing puppy dog, and wants to lick you", GROSS.

I remember a study that was obssessed with my father. He would call him non-stop, my father would have to go to his house or parked car, and "save" him from a nervous breakdown. He was like suicidal and shit, and would always bug my father in his weekly schemes. My father would find him broken into my Dads car, and just sitting there for hours, before my Father found him. He would say, "I am sorry, i know i shouldnt be here, and have broken into your car, but i missed you, or i need to talk to you".

Crazy stuff folks. I am sure i have more stories, i will think about it. Who knows, maybe i will ask my Dad next time i see him. He prob remembers more than me.

This newly leaked letter PROVES the WTS are hypocrates and do not speak the truth.

after reading this newly leaked letter, something profoundly "hit" me.

myself, being born a "witness", and most of us here, who have learned their teachings for years, know of the "importance" the gb/wts always placed on the watchtower and awake magazines, themselves.. from the magazines inception, from back in probably the 1920's, or somewhere that far back, the wts claimed that the preaching work, and specifically the distribution of these magazines, were a sign of the times, and a fulfilment of bible prophecy in these last days.

they would compare the watchtower magazine to a "stinging scorpion", claiming those magazines fulfilled that verse in revelation.

TheOldHippie, thanks for a little more info, appreciated. I had figured that when it was said that construction projects were all halted, except up in Warwick, that it included KH's also, but i guess not. The sending of Bethelites to the congregations for witnessing work, has always been. I was in a congregation within driving distance from Brooklyn headquarters, and we always had many Bethelites in the cong and helping in the preaching work, but these changes ARE indeed lay-offs for many brothers in Bethel, i personally know of some affected by these new changes.
