Template to dump Special Pioneers
by avaddohn94 in"downsizing" has reached special pioneers.. this is the template mexico is using to get rid of many of its special pioneers.
see how cold and unloving is the language they use.
a translation attempt is as follows:.

This is crazy, and talk about unlovingly, leaving your followers in the dust. I wonder how many are going to be affected by this, and if its going to be in all parts of the world too? -

One thing you have to remember to, is that there are many here that are at different stages of "waking up". Some are still "members", some are long removed from it, others are just starting to realize how they feel about things. Many are only mildly concerned, while others have been truly "hurt" by the organization. Then, you have the many levels of hurt, and with that the many levels of healing.
Many are new to sites like this, in general, and they are still attending meetings, just coming to grips with their own feelings. Others, like myself, are new to this site, and yet i have been "out"/DF'd from the borg, for over 20 years. Then others have been "aware" of the hypocrisy for years, and on these sites for years too.
So many are at different levels and stages, simply with their own feelings, and learning about information itself. Thats why a site like this, is a great stepping stone for many to start to wake up and continue to learn, and at all levels and stages.
Maybe, this will eventually blossom into a "movement" of sorts, but i feel this will be an organic, and natural progression in due time. Maybe, the time is now, maybe the climate is "ripe", or maybe it will still take years to progress. One person can change this, or one event could be a catalyst in this. If we say, "IT SHOULD BE" , it doesnt mean it will be, BUT, it also doesnt mean it cant or wont be, either.
Time will tell, whats meant to be will be. I for one would be happy to help others be released from the harm the WTS has caused, and causes. I would be willing to organize, or give time and resources to doing so, but again, only time can tell.
One thing i have learned, in my continued journey, is that we "all can make our own destiny". When i was WRONGLY kicked out of the WTS, i was told by the Elders that i wasnt worthy of forgiveness, but if i staid in the "world", where hypocrytically they were throwing me, i would be leading a miserable and unfullfilled life.
Well, i didnt let their harmfull words "rule" me, and fast forward 20 years later, and i am a self-employed milloinaire. I own rental properties, my own corporations, i make my own hours, and can work when i wish, on my own terms, and at 40 years old. I have plenty of disposable income, a beautiful home, a wonderful family, with 2 beautiful daughters. I have a happy marriage, a wife who respects and loves me, and i her. I have wonderful relationships and friendships, with people from all walks of life. I have surpassed all the Elders that threw me away as a 19 year old boy, financially, intelectually, and humanly. Now that i am a 40 year old man, i know that they are NOTHING.

The Elders of the congregations make for the worst possible "shepards".
by Dunedain inthe main goal of a shepard, is to keep the flock as safe as possible.
the loss of just a single sheep, could be devastating to a flock, and a shepards financial well being.
every sheep is valuable, from a monetary stanpoint, and future strength of the flock.

@- Username- Its really not a description of a "type" of Elder. Its more describing the actions and climate of most elder bodies, and tactics, as a whole. The thousands of examples, right here on this site, are a testament to that.
It shows the hypocrasy of the WTS, and how they say the role of an Elder, is to shepard the flock, but a shepard would never use their tactics.
And in response to the Elders being there to protect against litigation, and being lawyers for the borg, most Elders i know, cant litigate themselves out of a fucking paper bag.

The main goal of a shepard, is to keep the flock as safe as possible. The loss of just a single sheep, could be devastating to a flock, and a shepards financial well being. Every sheep is valuable, from a monetary stanpoint, and future strength of the flock. A shepards diligence, is constant. A shepard is always aware of a straying sheep, or if there are predatory wolves threatening the flock. David was a young shepard boy, and his diligence was proven by his use of the rock, and sling. His constantly, slinging rocks at wolves, to keep his flock safe, honed his skills. His practice, allowed him to accurately sling a rock, from a great distance, right between Goliaths eyes. Modern day shepards still, in many countries, apply this method to keep their sheep safe.
Todays "Elders", compare themselves to shepards. They are the shepards of the "flock". In charge of the protection, and spiritual well being of the congregation, their "sheep". As a shepard, each sheep should be valuable and worthy of diligent protection, from the "wolves" of the world.
Could any of us imagine a shepard actually "throwing" a sheep to the wolves. Of course not, this would go against everything we know about how a shepards main role is to "protect" the flock.
What if a sheep within a shepards flock, started to wander slightly outside the "protected" area. Maybe for some food, or simply getting lost, or wandering to far, for whatever reason. Would the shepard, after observing some sheep straying, simply kick these sheep further into danger. Would that shepard, literally THROW THOSE SHEEP TO THE WOLVES, simply for making an "error" of judgement, or getting lost? Of course not, that would be STUPID, in fact it would go against EVERYTHING it means to be a shepard. If the shepard did this, eventually it could have no more sheep, less and less would maybe even trust in the protection of that shepard. The shepards would eventually lose their flock.
So why would the Elders, the shepards of the flock, disfellowship someone, and essentially cut them off from the safety of the flock. How could a sheep survive, if when they "strayed" ,for whatever reason, they were "thrown to the wolves". When you DF someone, by the teachings of the organization themselves, you would be cutting them off from the "safety" of the shepards. In so many words, you are playing with their very lives, judging them to wander with the wolves.
Todays, trigger happy, disfellowshipping, judgmental Elders, are the exact OPPOSITE, of a good shepard. They, truly, make the worst possible type of shepard, as they are possible killers of their own flock.
Remember, "to those more is given, more is expected". Words that may bite them in their asses in the future.

Almost 60 years ago, The Watchtower made a prediction that has proven to be amazingly accurate.
by Bonnie_Clyde ini haven't posted for quite awhile, just usually lurk, but thought surely someone would have noticed this on jw.org.
this was under the article about distractions.
i clicked on the article and below is the "accurate" prediction that the wt made back in 1958. this has to prove they have jehovah's backing, don't you think?

Is the OP being sarcastic here? I am honestly not understanding whats up with this post. -

Would Jesus have been disfellowshipped by the "Elders" of his day . . . . . .
by Dunedain ini bet jesus would have been df'd by the "elders" in his day.
lets think about it, jesus hung out with "worldly" people.
his closest friends were known prostitutes, money collectors, men of "prominence" in the world of that day, non "beleivers" of the "faith" like samaritans, and many others that todays "elders" would have deemed "unworthy".. jesus spoke against the "organization" and "elders" of his day.

The point of my OP, was to show how Jesus, today would be disfellowshipped by the Elders. The disfellowshipping "standards" of todays Elders, would have DEFINATELLY disfellowshipped even Jesus himself. Some here got my point, and i think for others, i should have worded it differently, but either way, there seems to be no doubting that todays Elders would have DF'd Jesus. -

S*** JW Parents Say
by Dissonant15 inmy mom especially had some go-to phrases that to this day echo in my head and piss me off.
things like, .
"don't get mad at me for enforcing the rules, because jehovah made them, so if you don't like it, you're disrespecting him.

My parents, fortunately, were not like that, thank goodness, but i knew many that said very similar things to their JW kids.
What a "head trip" to put on little children. To not only think they were doing "bad" against their parents, but were also upsetting the "creator of the universe". The same God, that these same children, learned had put to death thousands of "unworthys", in mere seconds. Some of those "My book of bible stories" were scary.
Its really a form of mental child abuse.

Jesus spoke against the "organization" and "elders" of his day. Heck, the scribes and pharisees were the religious leaders, and would have been equal to todays elders. Well, Jesus condemned them and their running of the congregation. That would have branded you an "apostate", by todays Elders standards.
Jesus, probably would have been shunned and considered "spiritually dead", in a congregation today, by its Elders, simply because he wasnt baptised till 30 years old. I mean, he was only the son of God, what did he know. JW children today should know what it means to dedicate your LIFE, by the tender age of 15 or 16, THE MOST. Otherwise, there must be something wrong with you, and your relationship with God, and btw you should be forever judged by it. Just because Jesus himself waited till he was 30, shouldnt mean anything.
Jesus wouldnt have gotten any privileges by todays Elders. He would have been considered on the fringe, and not fully dedicated to the organization. No microphone holding for him, no Watchtower reading for him, no sir, he probably wouldny have even been a publisher.
Jesus's re-teaching of scripture, and re-writing of the law, and speaking out against Isreal/organization, would have been the last straw for todays Elders. Yes, they WOULD have Disfellowshipped even Jesus himself, in todays organization. Technically putting him to death, just like the scribes and pharisees of his day. The Elders, as the "supposed" shepards of the flock, would have thrown Jesus to the "wolves", and DF'd him. This is just like todays Elders, who claim to be shepards, but think nothing of throwing their sheep to the "world", to fend for themselves. What "wonderful" flock leaders, i bet they would have put Jesus to death too.

What is going on
by Aleph infirst of all thank you for the nice welcoming messages i received !.
as you know they are reducing bethel families to the minimum, services etc...here s what i heard from 2 different sources (one from africa, one from europe).. - "official" reason given : "end is now, no more time to build, we all need to preach!"..
- all members are invited to go and support where the need is great in the congregations (not necessary their own), missionaries aren t sent back to their counties of origin.. - i have no info regarding huge kh building program...is it still on?

Did you see a GB member ever...
by Gorbatchov intoday i read a news topic about the pope in the us.
of course, we were all indoctrinated that the pope is the devil himself.
but, did you see a gb member or a local wts official ever giving attention to a paralyzed witness?

Oh shit, i just remembered another time i had a direct dealing with a GB member. I was having lunch at Brooklyn headquarters, on "special" invite. This was over 20 years ago, and had to do with my father, and my fathers old college professor. My fathers old professor was very interested in Bethels workings, and had visited many years earlier, and was quite impressed with how efficiently they did certain things, basically cost saving ways they would work the factories. During that visit the professor had made friends with some of the older, prominent Bethel members, like Russ Kerson(not sure of spelling).
Anyway, since my father was the student that was the catalyst in getting his professor there all those years ago, and friendships were made, the prof never became a witness btw, a reunion of sorts was made, hence our "special" invitation to Bethel. So, at lunchtime, all of us, my father, me , mom, sister, my Dads old professor, and Russ kerson, all sat at a very special lunch table. At this table was a governing body member. I honestly dont remember his name, but what i do remember are 2 things. First, he was an old bag at about 80 something, BUT he had a very pretty, hot, younger sister as his wife. Even my Mom commented on that one. Second, i couldnt help but watch how he ate, he was mixing all his food together into one big, mushy, lump of food. I remember lima beans, mashed potatoes, and whatever the protein was, all globbed together first, before even taking a bite, and then once it was all mushed together on the middle of his plate, he started to eat it all. It was weird and gross.
