Raining before the Flood?

i remember at my teen years when i was studying with a brother that he said to me that there was no rain before the flood.

instead there was this mist that you have.

never before or after this have i heard something like this.

@ - Crazyguy - God had to "flood" the earth, because the pure gene pool of humanity was "tainted" by the co-mingling of evil demonic spirit creatures coming down and mating with humans. The resulting offsprings were monstrous and destructive and powerful. The spirit creatures, most likely took other forms, besides a perfect sexually viable male specimen. They took physical body of all manner of perfect forms, both beautiful and horrible, both powerful, and cunning., They tampered with the "pure" gene pool of the line of Seth. The line of Cain, was "polluted", and twisted. Bred as centaurs, ogres, lizardmen, the cloven, the giants, the satyrs, and also the beautiful elves, and fairy winged sprites, the dream wishers, and mushroom eaters, the mermaids and merman, the faun, and pixies. The pure for vision of God was changed forever, thru the tampering of the gentics of humans, by the powerful demon starmen, that came from the very heavens above, with the knowledge of the universe, as they were the very witnesses of creation.

What would happen ??

there is a certain elder in my wives hall that has seemed to developed a real interest her.

first he seemed to feel a need to make sure all her blood cards were signed before she gave birth to our child.. he sends her text messages if she misses a meeting saying how much " we missed you last night ".

he finally sent her a text wondering where her oct hours were , knowing she had some pretty serious tears from child birth and could hardly even walk, much less do field service ".

@ - Clambake - CONGRATS on the baby, bro. They are a lot of hard work, but SOOOOO worth it, lol.

Now in regards, to the over-stepping, uber-dub, dopey Elder, if his actions, are really and truly bugging you, which its quite evident they are, you SHOULD let him know whats up. Every situation is different, and of course, we do not have all the "details", and particulars, but if you feel he is over stepping his boundaries, then you gotta put an end to it.

I know you have a JW wife, but i dont know how "up" on the JW "culture" you are, but some elders feel they are just looking out for the "flock" or the "weak", and MOST of them do it incorrectly as stupid, imperfect MEN, and those are the ones with "good" intentions. Forget about the ones with bad intentions. Like if an Elder DOES have an infatuation with YOUR wife. He could be coming up with all types of "scenarios", on how he may be her "savior", or "knight in shining armor", and his perception of her "life" could be all twisted in his mind. You may very well have to "school" him, on "WHATS UP".

Wher i come from, Brooklyn/Staten Island NYC, this "cat" would learn real kwick not to be texting my old lady, and it would stop. That being said, every situation is different. The best advice i can give you, is if this bothers you, and i know it does, lol, then STOP it. How you do that, is up to you, but keeping your wifes "feelings" as your main priority, should dictate how you go about this.

Be tactful, be firm and to the point, but get your message across logically, and put HIM/THEM in a place of empathy. Like, how would he like it, and use WTS own doctrine as your foundation, so you dont come across asa "paranoid" unbeleiver, but from a scriptural basis as the "head".

Good luck, i wish you the best. I am sure it will work out, and once you put your feelings out there to this man, it should stop. If it doesnt, grab the guy by his left ear, and rip him out of his seat, during the Sunday public talk, lol, just kidding(maybe).

@ - Fulltimestudent - Thanks for posting that information, it is quite appropriate. Brilliant observation, and that you remembered it.

I always LOVED the story of Noah, and not from the perspective of the 2 by 2 animals, and the 8 saved people, and all that, but from a totally different perspective.

If we were to beleive it was true, then think about the fantasy world that existed before the flood. It would have been like Dungeons and Dragons, meets Lord of the rings, meets Genesis. If "demons" could come down to earth,in the form of a sexually viable man, then why not as the form of a dragon, or a centaur, or ANY form their hearts desired. They would have been the "mighty ones" of old. There offspring would have been all manner of creature, and beast, and perfection of mind and body. A "fantasy" world indeed. Then the struggle of the survival of the "pure" line of Seth, and the proliferation of the "polluted" line of Cain. Its the makings of the greatest fantasy, sci fi,book or movie, EVER.

I have been "studying" the old stories of ancient cultures, and always with the "twist" of pre-deluvian. I am even writing, and have been for years now, a fantasy, sci fi, book, that takes place in this "world". So, i am into this big time.

With this being said, the WTS has been saying, and continues to say, that it NEVER rained before the flood. This is 100 percent part of their "dogma", and logic. The ONLY precipitation, according to WTS, was the "mists and early morning dew", that would water the vegetation. As others above have said, they also beleive in the "water canopy" theory, and that it was the cause of the "flood rains", and that water also came up from the "springs" under the ground.

I know this for a 100 percent fact, as i have used the WTS, and MANY, MANY, other sources, as "study" material for my book, especially and usually only when dealing with "Noahs flood".

The funny thing is that in trying to write my book, set in the pre-flood world, and wanting to prove that it could have really happened, i wound up proving that it, indeed, COULD NOT have happened, or at least NOT on a GLOBAL scale. This changed the "tone" of my book, from a historical/fantasy perspective, to a STRICTLY fantasy perspective, because of it.

The above info, showing how "rain patterns", are found in rocks that are OVER a BILLION years old, is just the start of the abundance of "proof" that it could NOT have been on a global scale. From the water canopys "pressure" on earth, to vegetation NOT being able to survive under water, to the HUGE variety of animal life NEVER have been able to fit on the ark, or evolve in such few generations from the flood to what we have today variaty wise, and many other points.

I REALLY wish everyone, that is still going to meetings, would start putting monopoly money in the contribution boxes. Think about how EPIC that would be. As was seen in other threads, many of us here are from all over the world. If EVERYBODY started dropping fake monopoly money in contribution boxes all over the world, the GB would take "note".

Cant you guys here it now, "brothers, we are increasingly receiving fake money in the contribution boxes, please STOP this, as it dis-pleases Jehovah, he likes his money to be REAL, thank you brothers".

It would begin with local needs, in the "offending" congregations. Then as word would be getting out, that it is happening all over, talks and announcements would be done at circuit assemblies. The best being, of course, that we would be putting the same fake monopoly money, in the contribution boxes of the circuit assemblies, too.

All kidding aside, this REALLY would be an awesome "message" to the GB, and local asshole Elders. Contribution boxes, ALL OVER THE WORLD, would send quite a message. It would drive these assholes, NUTS. Not only is it a "slap in their faces", but it would really be screwing them financially.

Think about it folks, if thousands of us all did the same thing, and with the same monopoly money, that simple act would show a "united, underground message", that would be crossing borders, and the effect would be IMMENSE.

Glue the Watchtower conductors magazines pages together, and do the same to the Watchtower readers magazine too. If you are lucky, the conductor will realize it first, and maybe ask the reader for his magazine while on stage, only to then have his magazine glued together also, lol.

Wherever in your Kingdom Hall has the publishers time slips, all stacked up and waiting to be grabbed and filled out. Well, go there, grab ALL the time slips, and fill out EVERY one, and then put them all back. This way, when each publisher grabs the slip, to fill out, they will be done already. Have EVERY slip, already filled out with 1 hour, 1 RV, and 1 magazine, the SAME for every slip.

If you are the ministerial servent, or elder, who hands out the magazines to all the publishers, from behind the counter, after the meetings. slip in the middle of every magazine a piece of paper that says " Jehovahs-Witnesses.com", or JW-Facts.org, or use your "imagination".

If you are a microphone "handler", "glue" a piece of chocolate onto the top of the microphone, and hold the microphone REAL CLOSE to whichever dub is answering. Watch the "scrunchted up, disgusting faces", they make.

Replace the Sunday Watchtower readers magazine, with one in another language, without him knowing it. Then when he goes up to "read" it, he will be like WTF. Thats one of the benefits, of having all the Watchtower mags, in so many languages. I think getting the current magazine, thats to be read, but in Pigeon English, would work the best, lol.
