Does Jehovah Intervene - JW Teaching

i have been a jw my whole life and i have never been able to get a clear answer on this question.

jw's do not believe that jehovah will intervene if someone is sick, dying or stopping a car crash.

they feel that jehovah is letting "this world" play out before he solves all of these problems.

I actually remember, about 10 years ago, there was a story on a show, i think? it was Dateline, and it was about a JW family. The story was following them during the families ordeal where one of the children had cancer. If i remember correctly, it didnt even focus that much on the "blood" issue. It was more about how a very religious family goes thru an ordeal like this one.

I remember, that the whole family, from Mother, Father, and a few children, including of course the child with cancer, were all in the "truth". They were a black family, from America, but i forget what state they were in.

Dateline? followed the family while they were getting diagnoses from doctors, getting care, preparations, and surgeries for the child with cancer, and all the while how their "faith" was involved, and affected during this ordeal.

The thing that stuck the most with me, and is the point of this post, was that the family during the "show" was CONSTANTLY praying to Jehovah for "help" for the child. The family was praying out loud to Jehovah, right before the child was getting her surgery. They were praying to Jehovah that he would "cure" the cancer, that he would fix the illness, and so on.

As the episode progressed, and i remember the JW child WAS eventually cured, and all treatments, and surgeries were successful, the family was ALWAYS thanking Jehovah, and praising Jehovah, out loud, and in front of the camera for all to see.

I found this very interesting because, you know, the GB had to be aware of this, and that a JW family was doing a very "public" TV show, and showing "sensitive" info for the world to see. So, this JW family was "allowed" to ask Jehovah to help/heal/fix their child, and get them thru the other side of the care, healthy and well. Also, that the GB even allowed the cameras, and the family to do this, was interesting. What if the child DID die. It would have REALLY painted a bad picture for the WTS's God, but the GB rolled the dice and "won" that one.

Does anyone else remember seeing this episode? Again, it was either Dateline, or definitely a show like Dateline.

WTS Throws Hail Mary Pass with Major Paradigm Shift

let me begin by stating that i have no insider information, this is merely my observation.

i believe that some time ago in watchtower land, somebody at hq posed these questions (probably an outside consultant because i don't think the gb is this hip): .

what would happen if we cut in half the average age of the responsible brothers in the organization?

If this is/was their game plan, well its doomed to fail. As others have said, they are having a HUGE problem finding younger "qualified" "brothers", to even pursue privileges, let alone become Elders.

The WTS is doomed. They are swirling the rim of the toilet, as we speak. The possible younger, intelligent, born ins, that would have been the perfect age NOW, to be stepping up and filling in all the needed positions, were kicked out, or DF'd YEARS ago, in the mid to late 90's.

The mid to late 90's, had a very hard lined, heavy handed, organisation. The WTS was told from the top, to "purge", and the numbers spoke volumes. Thousands of "born-in", from the 75 generation era, were reaching their teens, and early 20's, at that time, and they were DF'd by the thousands. In thru the front door, and out by JC, thru the back door.

The BORG, is suffering NOW, for their FAILED policies of intolerance, and lack of forgiveness, to their own members children. The potential "cream" was pushed out, and have never looked back. The ORG was left with the, bitter, older parents of these DF'd children, and a whole missing generation of potential.

Many of us here, on this board, right now, were "victims" of the harsh, judgemental, policies of those days. Looking back, they DID us all a favor, for sure, but it was still very hurtful. The WTS, is now 20 years removed from that, and have been in decline, since then. We are now witnessing, its end.

New TV gadget

so today i did it.

i cut my dish network programming to basic....$20 a month ty very much.

instead i have $60 streaming device that gives me everything i need.

This sounds similar to NetFlix in the U.S. Netflix has a ton of movies too, including hard to find ones, and even some original series, also. I got NetFlix because my cable bill is $250.00 bucks a month, U.S.. Thats with the phone, computer service, and literally EVERY channel imagineable, but its so expensive.

Anyway, i figured i would try NetFlix to see if it would be "good enough", and i wouldnt need to spend so much on cable. Well, now i have NetFlix, AND still kept my cable, lol. I guess when you got a 70 inch Sony flat screen, you have to have EVERY channel, or at least, i do, lol.

I dont understand what kind of money they could possibly be sueing for? Didnt it cost exactly NOTHING when Jehovah, magically waved his hand and cleaned the property from all its contaminents? That is what happened, right? Why would the WTS have to pay anything to clean it, didnt they just pray to Jehovah for that, OH WAIT, why didnt they just pray to Jehovah that they didnt but contaminated land, in the first place?

Something is not adding up here. . . . . . . . .

You all are missing the point. Its not that they are losing a dog. The loving GB is showing how the family will GAIN pet roaches, poisonous snakes, bot flies in their skin, all manner of stomach worms, such as tape and roundworm. Dad, and son, will gain little pet fishes that will swim up the urethras in their penises. Dont forget lice for EVERY family member, and the mosquitoes, oh the mosquitoes!

The mosquitoes will bring the joys of malaria, and yellow fever. Please, also, let us not forget that the family will gain all forms of bacterias too. From flesh eating, to intestinal bacteria, they will keep you busier than any old pet dog would.

Then brothers and sisters, if you are just blessed enough by Jehovah, on a preaching run with the family, deep into the jungle where few have gone, you may receive the best pet of all. Thats right, you could just gain a predatory jungle cat, both exotic, and terrifying. And, if you are lucky enough, it may just eat one of your children.

Do you see how Jehovah blesses those who sacrifice for him. No brothers, you are not losing a dog, you are gainin g SOOO MUCH MORE.

I remember years ago, i dont know if its still in the songbook, there was a song about how "sisters were a large army for Jehovah", lol. Basically, it has been recognised for many years that the Borg is full of single sisters, and so much so, that they make up a "large army".

Its quite apparant, that the GB WANT an organization of a bunch of single sisters. They have been denouncing marriage for years, trying to keep the woman alone, and hence, reliant on the Borg. Its like the GB feels they can have much more, and easier, control over single woman. Also, as others above have said, the congregation LOVES to "use" people, and single sisters must seem like easier group to "use".

Once a woman is married in the Org, the "control" is shared by the Borg, and her husband. The Borg, then, loses complete "control", and god knows, they cant have that.

This is just another example showing how much of a high control cult the Witnesses are. The control is indoctrinated literally from infancy. You must sit still in a chair for 2 hours straight, when you are a TODDLER. You must not celebrate holidays, and have school friends, or join sports, or dancing, or gymnastics, when you are a child. When you are a teen, you cant think for yourself, or act on ANY natural urge, or dress how you want, or do your own hair how you want. Then when you are of married age, you are better off remaining SINGLE, and whether you are a "brother", or "sister", if you stay single, the BORG has their complete control of you, well into your adulthood.

But dont worry, Jehovah loves you and will bless you.

I remember a similar story from my old hall, that happened many years ago. It was the same thing, some "sisters" saw a married brother out in public, including dinner, with a woman that wasn't his wife.

Mind you, the brother was in "good standing", but he was a nicer looking man, with a slightly less attractive wife. Looking back, i think it was that reason, as to why the gossip and assumption happened. In other words, this "brother" HAD to be cheating with another woman, cause he was just sooo nice looking, but his wife was just "average".

This ridiculous attitude led to the "sisters" going to the elders, and the elders approaching the "brother" about it.

WELL, guess what, the "other woman", was the brothers SISTER. She was visiting from out of town, and he was taking his fleshly sister for a tour of the city.

Needless to say, this action, judging, and ASSUMPTIONS, of those "evil" gossiping "sisters", REALLY stumbled this brother, and his poor wife. So much so, that they are no longer in the BORG, and havnt been for quite a few years.

So, this kind of shit, happens all the time in the borg, and it seems that it doesnt even matter if you are "active", in good standing, or "inactive". The gossiping, slander, and malice, is so prevalent in the Halls, its almost like they are a breeding ground for it.

for those that believe in the flood story as genesis says, then they also are forced to accept a huge amount of evolution, way faster than any evolutionist would propose.. from a basic selection of "kinds", to the several millions of land species there are now, and in only about 4000 years.. not to mention the many types of birds that made it to remote islands, and then somehow lost their ability to fly... not even possessing wings( ex- dodo bird, moa).

scientists agree this was a process that took eons of time.. i was thinking of this because we just had a public talk on noah.

i sure couldn't make a fool of myself on that subject, going on how "factual" it all is..

Some "knuckleheads" that try to support the "flood story", say that Jehovah "MADE" the animals "change" into the, ridiculously huge amount of variety that we have today. Basically, that he "EVOLVED" the animals from just the few samples that were saved on the ark, and then, somehow, distributed this huge, changed, variety, to all the corners of the earth, including mountains, jungles, underground, deserts, islands, and EVERY corner of the world.

Its kinda ridiculous when you put it in words.

No One on GB Anointed

what if no one on the governing body is truly anointed?

what if they just proclaim they are anointed and partake in order to gain authority, but they are not anointed?

what will happen to them when they die?

I hate to burst your bubble, but EVERY one of the GB's are NOT anointed. They are NOT being directed by the One, and Only, All powerful, Creator of the Universe.

The Creator of the universe, does not, and has NOT directed them, or given them any holy spirit, or "favoring". The All powerful, dynamic, abundance of energy, that is God, is NOT communicating to the billions of humans on planet earth, with the GB. The GB are not the channel that, the most incredible being in the universe, is "using" to usher humanity into the final, earthly days of this system.

Rather, in contrast, the GB's are crusty old MEN, who have no "sense" of anything that matters in this real world of 6 billion of us. They are MEN, on a sinking "ship", collapsing in upon itself, from a weak, and baseless foundation, of LIES, and false prophecys. Also, they do NOT like short hair cuts on woman, and skinny jeans on men.

Elders who dislike other congregation elders

my congregation had four elders who had different personalities.you would see a little friction among themselves.. #1 self-righteous and the 800 pound gorilla.he would push everyone around in the congregation and even some fellow elders.. # 2 elder was around 80 years old and looked like he stuck around a little too long.it looked like he was around because he never decided to give up the position.his duty became very light as he aged.. # 3 elder was in his early 30's and newly elected.he made no waves and whatever was asked of him in the congregation he would do.easy to push around like a little puppy dog.. #4 elder (who everyone liked ) was easy to get along with and had a family who everyone loved.

he didn't like elder # 1. they had a power struggle amongst each other which everyone observed while the meetings were in session.. here are 2 small verbal fights that i observed while the congregation meetings were in session:.

while elder # 1 was giving a talk ( heavy rain storms are brewing outside with loud thunder and lightning ) the microphones and lights are knocked out.we lost all power and could barely see.

What i think this really all comes down to, and actually its rather simple, is that most Elders are ASSHOLES. They are egotistical, self-righteous, power hungry, MEN.

When i was a child growing up in this organisation, i thought Elders were these "perfect men", worthy of being looked up to. As i got older, until i was ultimately out 20 years ago, when i was in my early 20's, i started realising how really deficient human beings they were. These men were babies, haughty, evil, back-stabbing, uneducated, tactless, judgemental, WEIRD, fake, and some of the worst of the worst.

In the "real" world, many of these men, were nothing. They couldnt even function, or hold down a job, or financially support their families. Of course, there are always exceptions to the rules, and in all ways too. I knew some elders who were AWESOME people, but unfortunately they held NO true "power". It was, and is, always the assholes who are at the top, and harrassing the sheeple, and in this man-made religion it will always be this way until its, soon to be, END.
