The scary thing about these "youth" pictures, is i bet years from now we are going to find out that most of these pictures were strategically placed under each C.O.s mattress, for "personal study".

"World conditions have never been as bad as they are now"
by Sour Grapes ini went to a funeral yesterday and ran into a jdub.
of course, he approached me and it didn't take more than a minute into the conversation for him to get into the jdub gloom and doom mode.
he said that world conditions have never been as bad as they are now.. i looked straight into his eyes and said, "i think that world conditions were a lot worse during world war two.".

It can easily be argued that at this point in human history things are better than they ever were. Up until the modern inventions of antibiotics and other marvels of modern medical care, people were dying of ear infections, and the flu, and "common" ailments that today we take for granted.
Wars in our past were extremely more brutal, and widespread. The brutality of the American Civil war to the 2 World wars of last century are examples of this. Things are also perspective as well. If you were sold into slavery as an African, in the 17th or 18th century, then you were living in the worst "days". If you were starving in an impoverished country, no matter what time period, those were the worst times for your history.
If you were a Jewish person during the Holocaust, you were most likely thinking you were in the "final days". If you were an American indian during the 17 and 1800's, slowly watching your culture and people being wiped away, that was your Armageddon.
There are countless examples that could be given, and during ANY century of documented human existence, that could be argued were the "worst" times in history, especially if you were on the "wrong end" of it.
Yes, there are still plenty of current horrors that are befalling people around the earth. Yet, we have the best medical care EVER. We have the most educated groups of people and opportunity for education, around the planet, especially with modern technology, than ever before. Our life expectancy, and birth rate are greater than ever. Mass starvation, and epic famines, are no where near the scale of what they were only 20 years ago.
It can be argued that with the continued break thrus of modern technologies, and the sharing globally of thoughts and ideas via the internet, we are going through a modern "renaissance" so to speak. The quality of life for MOST, and on the largest scale ever, has increased exponentially, and is only getting better.

My mom is haunted by the ghost of Fred Franz... now we have gotten to the root of this problem
by silentbuddha inso last night at around 11 while me and the wife were watching netflix and my cellphone rings.
i didn't make it in time and saw it was my mother who never speaks to me.
i decided to call back fearing something happened with my dad.

WOW, i am glad you can take what your Mom did with a grain of salt Silentbuddha, cause she is a nut dude. I am glad you are able to laugh, and not let her wackiness get to you, kudos for that.
The only other option would be letting her ranting and raving bring YOU down, and that would suck. This organization has truly warped a lot of people over the years. It only makes sense too, if you think about it, as the leaders themselves are VERY warped.
Anthony Morris thinks he is gonna be some kind of warrior, murdering badass, LOL, what a F#$king JOKE. Let that Mother F@#ker come by my house wielding some weird ass spiritual sword, and i will quickly relieve him of his weapon, and dispatch him in a matter of seconds, and see how he likes his own sword firmly implanted up his ass.

I put certain paranormal abilities, telepathy, telekinisis, esp, and other abilities, in the same vein as those that have other naturally extraordinary gifts. There are some who are born with incredible mathematic skills, or can just play a musical instrument without ever having a single lesson.
There are savants who may be socially or emotionally restricted, yet their minds can do somewhat unimaginable things. Our brains are capable of far more than they typically used for. Some humans have certain mental abilities greater than others. Its as if certain "doors" in the brains are opened, where most "normal" people have these same "doors" closed.
Thats why certain abilities can happen AFTER a brain injury, or even a traumatic event. Sometimes certain doors are closed, and people lose abilities, or shut down, while others may open up.
There is variety, and much uniqueness within the billions of human brains around planet earth. Maybe some people have certain seemed "powers" because they have simply tapped into areas of the brain that others havent.

@ Stuckinarut2 - I remember when that KH bombing happened in Australia. I was a kid, maybe like 10 yrs old, or something, and i am in the states. My family and i were on vacation and i can vividly remember the KH bombing being reported on in the news.
My parents, who back then were drinking the Kool aid, were laying in bed in our Hotel room, and the newscaster came on saying - " There was a church bombing in Australia". Well my parents didnt flinch, UNTIL the newscaster continued and said it was at a Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Wintnesses!!!! They both BOUNCED up outta bed, wide eyed, and fully intent on seeing what happened.
I will NEVER forget that moment, it was like it happened yesterday. Myself being young, said - " Whats wrong, what happened", and they said SHHHH a Kingdom hall exploded.
Evidently, that was big news, as it was broadcasted on the news all the way where i was at here in United states.

What happned to the Quick Builds
by blownaway inso the qbs were huge in the 80s and 90s, now i hear nothing.
have they stopped?.

I went on 1 "quick build" in my young life, and vowed NEVER again. I was about 18 to 19 years old, and i realized within 5 minutes that it was a JOKE.
Even at 18 years old i had a fairly extensive construction background. Home improvements was my first trade, and i had been involved in it since about 12 years old, and actually started my own company at around 18 years old.
I only went, cause at that time i used to hang with a bro in my cong that liked to help out on "quick builds" every once in a while, and i went along with him. Honestly, he was a drinking buddy, and i think his "slave labor" at quick builds helped ease his conscience of all his drunken nights from the rest of the week.
Anyway, i saw the ridiculous way things were run, and that there were essentially people in charge that didnt know anywhere near as much as they thought they did. In turn, they were delegating "jobs" to other people who REALLY had no idea what they were doing. Yes there was a TON of people standing around, but that didnt bother me as much as the people that actually were doing the work had no clue what they were doing.
I was watching studs being ripped out that were already cut and nailed into place, because they were cut at the wrong size. I witnessed roofing shingles being put on without proper flashing work, and so on.
It was just stupid, and i couldnt get outta that "quick build" quick enough.

How does mankind know what happen before we were created??
by James Mixon infor example, "and god said, let there be light: and there was light.
"a personal and vocal god said, "let there be light.
"so god saw the light, and thought it good, but how did the priestly scribe know that he did?

Even elders don’t know their beliefs
by Addison0998 ini had a deep conversation with my elder father today about the bible.
first i talked to him about luke 16:19-31. the one where jesus makes this crazy illustration regarding the afterlife.
of course he had to look it up on the watchtower library to be spoon fed his beliefs.

The old JW bull crap, one liner, that Jah will provide the answer in due time, is complete and utter NONSENSE. Many of these "points" that need clarification in "due time", are VERY big biblical doctrines.
When you break down how important these points are, it logically makes NO sense then why there would even be confusion, and why it would even need to be revealed in "due time".
Then, if you add on top of this, that some points have still not even been figured out over 120 YEARS of Jahs earthly org, it just sounds like a bunch of bullshit. A loving, all powerful God who would be directing thru his ONLY earthly channel, would never need or have to take 120 years to "decipher" "truths" that were already foretold, and written.
It makes no sense, and when they use it as their "go to" response for not being able to answer, i shut them down with this logic, why would Jah do that???

They are the "made" guys who eat the cookies and drink the milk, when its passed around. They cannot be whacked unless you have a "sit down" first with the Boss.
