I remember years ago, i dont know if its still in the songbook, there was a song about how "sisters were a large army for Jehovah", lol. Basically, it has been recognised for many years that the Borg is full of single sisters, and so much so, that they make up a "large army".

Its quite apparant, that the GB WANT an organization of a bunch of single sisters. They have been denouncing marriage for years, trying to keep the woman alone, and hence, reliant on the Borg. Its like the GB feels they can have much more, and easier, control over single woman. Also, as others above have said, the congregation LOVES to "use" people, and single sisters must seem like easier group to "use".

Once a woman is married in the Org, the "control" is shared by the Borg, and her husband. The Borg, then, loses complete "control", and god knows, they cant have that.

This is just another example showing how much of a high control cult the Witnesses are. The control is indoctrinated literally from infancy. You must sit still in a chair for 2 hours straight, when you are a TODDLER. You must not celebrate holidays, and have school friends, or join sports, or dancing, or gymnastics, when you are a child. When you are a teen, you cant think for yourself, or act on ANY natural urge, or dress how you want, or do your own hair how you want. Then when you are of married age, you are better off remaining SINGLE, and whether you are a "brother", or "sister", if you stay single, the BORG has their complete control of you, well into your adulthood.

But dont worry, Jehovah loves you and will bless you.

I remember a similar story from my old hall, that happened many years ago. It was the same thing, some "sisters" saw a married brother out in public, including dinner, with a woman that wasn't his wife.

Mind you, the brother was in "good standing", but he was a nicer looking man, with a slightly less attractive wife. Looking back, i think it was that reason, as to why the gossip and assumption happened. In other words, this "brother" HAD to be cheating with another woman, cause he was just sooo nice looking, but his wife was just "average".

This ridiculous attitude led to the "sisters" going to the elders, and the elders approaching the "brother" about it.

WELL, guess what, the "other woman", was the brothers SISTER. She was visiting from out of town, and he was taking his fleshly sister for a tour of the city.

Needless to say, this action, judging, and ASSUMPTIONS, of those "evil" gossiping "sisters", REALLY stumbled this brother, and his poor wife. So much so, that they are no longer in the BORG, and havnt been for quite a few years.

So, this kind of shit, happens all the time in the borg, and it seems that it doesnt even matter if you are "active", in good standing, or "inactive". The gossiping, slander, and malice, is so prevalent in the Halls, its almost like they are a breeding ground for it.

for those that believe in the flood story as genesis says, then they also are forced to accept a huge amount of evolution, way faster than any evolutionist would propose.. from a basic selection of "kinds", to the several millions of land species there are now, and in only about 4000 years.. not to mention the many types of birds that made it to remote islands, and then somehow lost their ability to fly... not even possessing wings( ex- dodo bird, moa).

scientists agree this was a process that took eons of time.. i was thinking of this because we just had a public talk on noah.

i sure couldn't make a fool of myself on that subject, going on how "factual" it all is..

Some "knuckleheads" that try to support the "flood story", say that Jehovah "MADE" the animals "change" into the, ridiculously huge amount of variety that we have today. Basically, that he "EVOLVED" the animals from just the few samples that were saved on the ark, and then, somehow, distributed this huge, changed, variety, to all the corners of the earth, including mountains, jungles, underground, deserts, islands, and EVERY corner of the world.

Its kinda ridiculous when you put it in words.

No One on GB Anointed

what if no one on the governing body is truly anointed?

what if they just proclaim they are anointed and partake in order to gain authority, but they are not anointed?

I hate to burst your bubble, but EVERY one of the GB's are NOT anointed. They are NOT being directed by the One, and Only, All powerful, Creator of the Universe.

The Creator of the universe, does not, and has NOT directed them, or given them any holy spirit, or "favoring". The All powerful, dynamic, abundance of energy, that is God, is NOT communicating to the billions of humans on planet earth, with the GB. The GB are not the channel that, the most incredible being in the universe, is "using" to usher humanity into the final, earthly days of this system.

Rather, in contrast, the GB's are crusty old MEN, who have no "sense" of anything that matters in this real world of 6 billion of us. They are MEN, on a sinking "ship", collapsing in upon itself, from a weak, and baseless foundation, of LIES, and false prophecys. Also, they do NOT like short hair cuts on woman, and skinny jeans on men.

Elders who dislike other congregation elders

my congregation had four elders who had different personalities.you would see a little friction among themselves.. #1 self-righteous and the 800 pound gorilla.he would push everyone around in the congregation and even some fellow elders.. # 2 elder was around 80 years old and looked like he stuck around a little too long.it looked like he was around because he never decided to give up the position.his duty became very light as he aged.. # 3 elder was in his early 30's and newly elected.he made no waves and whatever was asked of him in the congregation he would do.easy to push around like a little puppy dog.. #4 elder (who everyone liked ) was easy to get along with and had a family who everyone loved.

he didn't like elder # 1. they had a power struggle amongst each other which everyone observed while the meetings were in session.. here are 2 small verbal fights that i observed while the congregation meetings were in session:.

while elder # 1 was giving a talk ( heavy rain storms are brewing outside with loud thunder and lightning ) the microphones and lights are knocked out.we lost all power and could barely see.

What i think this really all comes down to, and actually its rather simple, is that most Elders are ASSHOLES. They are egotistical, self-righteous, power hungry, MEN.

When i was a child growing up in this organisation, i thought Elders were these "perfect men", worthy of being looked up to. As i got older, until i was ultimately out 20 years ago, when i was in my early 20's, i started realising how really deficient human beings they were. These men were babies, haughty, evil, back-stabbing, uneducated, tactless, judgemental, WEIRD, fake, and some of the worst of the worst.

In the "real" world, many of these men, were nothing. They couldnt even function, or hold down a job, or financially support their families. Of course, there are always exceptions to the rules, and in all ways too. I knew some elders who were AWESOME people, but unfortunately they held NO true "power". It was, and is, always the assholes who are at the top, and harrassing the sheeple, and in this man-made religion it will always be this way until its, soon to be, END.

Do most ex JW's go politically left?

i've found it interesting that- imho- most of the politically vocal ex-jw's at this website seem to lean left.

i'm personally pretty centered- right on some issues, left on others, but overall have a pretty cynical view of all political/religious leaders.

i find it somewhat ironic that people who leave such a dogmatic group like the witnesses become so politically dogmatic.

I am not overlly political. That being said, i actually consider myself more RIGHT wing. This has absolutely NOTHING to do with conservative, so-called Christian "values". In fact, on some domestic issues, i would be cnsidered "left".

Where i become "right" wing, is strictly on economice issues. Due to my financial situation, and that i am a self employed,business owner, it makes more sense for me to "relate" to Right wing. I own a fair number of multi-family homes in the NY, NJ, United states, area. If there is a democrat as President, when i sell a home, i MUST pay 36% Capital gains taxes to the government. However, if there is a Republican President in office, when i sell one of my homes, i only have to pay 18% capital gains taxes.

This is an "issue", that personally effects me. On CERTAIN social issues, i may be more centered, or even a bit left, and on other social issues i am right, too. On economic i have to be Right. If i sell a home and have to pay ALL those extra taxes, it would cripple me. I work very hard, and have invested a lot of hard earned money, time, and energy, into my business. I also employ people, and directly contribute to the economy. When i buy a home, i give the home improvements material places business, contractore, electricians, plumbers, all the business. I give townships business from permits, inspectors, mortgage lenders, real estate lawyers, home inspectors, and many many others, and this is when i purchase and re-hab 1 home.

If after doing all that work, and laying ut all that money, i could lose all my profit by having to pay it in taxes to the government, then i just aint gonna do it. That means all the list above does NOT get the business, and the money back into the economy. This is simple economics, and i am SMALL TIME. Now, with all this being said, if i were to have a conversation, and be friends, which i am, with all types, left, right, centered, you would find that we probably agree on MANY things. I am simply, from my own personal financial situations, a bit more Right wing.

The lord of the rings

now that i've found out ttatt i've been indulging in a lot of so called "spiritistic" entertainment lol.

i recently watched all of the lotr/hobitt movies and man were they awesome!!!

The LOTR trilogys, and Tolkiens books, are incredible. If you google/look up my user name, you will see that I am, indeed, a HUGE LOTR fan, lol.

As mentioned above, Tolkien was a linguist, and invented many beautiful languages, including Elvish. His "works" started by first inventing certain languages, and then, in turn, wanting to create a "world" for these languages to be spoken in.

Tolkien started penning his stories while in the trenches of WW1. In fact, his "visions" of the evil land of Mordor, with its burnt, and destroyed landscape, were based on the battlefields of WW1, and the "no mans land" in between the German and British trenches.

To me personally, the beauty of Tolkiens work, is how not only was it an incredible, rich, vibrant "fantasy" story, but he wrote it as though it was real history. History of our world from an ancient, era, or epoch, of a long ago forgotten past. He mixed, fantasy writing, historical context, mythology, and linguistics, PERFECTLY together.

In many circles, he is known as the "master", and once you read his books, you can quickly understand why. If you are a fan of the movies, you will LOVE the books as well.

To everyone here, which has been mirroring my thoughts as well, and saying "who cares" about all this "nonsense". We all have to remember, that the reason for all this BS, is to keep the rank and file distracted just enough, so that they dont see the "men behind the curtain".

With all the HEAVY crap thats going down, from law suits, the questioning of doctrine like generation changes, the apparant lack of money, child abuse issues, and the Australian royal commision, to just mention a few, they NEED to "distract" the sheeple.

Throwing out, an occasional, "new light" adjustment, is just them distracting, and trying to maintain an "air" of importance. Like they are, somehow , on the "pulse" of Jehovahs "spirit", and being "directed". In reality, however, it is all trivial, nonsense, and complete rubbish. Its like a pediatrician, "distracting" a baby with a teddy bear, as he sticks a needle in the babies ass. Its all "smoke and mirrors", and the WTS are PROS at it. They have been doing it for over 100 years now.

This reminds me of the "example" of a "brother" who is a farmer, and is praying for rain from Jehovah. This "brother" needs the rain to water his crops, so he in turn, can feed HIS family from the bounty of the crops."PLEASE Jehovah, let it rain".

YET

In the same congregation, you have a "brother" who is a contractor. His latest job is outdoors, and he needs to finish it, so he can get paid, and feed his family. So, this "brother" is praying to Jehovah that it DOESN'T rain. This way, if the weather stays clear, he can feed HIS family by being able to finish the job. "PLEASE Jehovah, let it NOT rain".

SO

Who does Jehovah love more? If it rains, does that mean he loved brother farmer more? Or if it doesnt rain, does that mean he loves brother contractor more? Or does Jehovah hate brother farmer, because it didnt rain? Or, because it did rain, does Jehovah hate brother contractor? Or maybe, just maybe, it MEANS NOTHING. In fact, the rain happens, dependant on NATURAL processes, that BOTH man, and Jehovah, DO NOT control at a whim.

YMCA ? Are we allowed to go there or not?

half of our congregation goes there to work out because of the good pool facilities and prices, and the other half think that it's wrong due to it's old charter.

but no one is enforcing the wrong or right of it.

i'd be interested in knowing how this is being applied worldwide.

I know, personally, of a "sister" in my Fathers congregation, who is older and disabled. The YMCA in her area provided FREE physical therapy for her because of her disability and that she was a senior. Mind you, her own health insurance did NOT provide her any more paid therapy, so she looked for it elsewhere. Well, lovingly, she found a place that would provide this care, and for free, doesnt Jehovah bless his worshippers?

Well the answer is NO, or at least not when MEN come in to "dictate" what Jehovah does, because the elders AND the society themselves, said she could NOT go to the YMCA and take advantage of the free care. The reason we KNOW that this came directly from the top, is because she actually sent a letter to Bethel/GB, and told them of her specific situation, and that she needed the care, but did not have the financial means to get it, except thru the FREE care from the YMCA. Well, what did our "loving" mother ORG say, they said NO, that she could NOT go there any longer.

I can tell you, 100 percent, that this is a completely true story, as i personally know the "sister", and have seen with my own eyes, the letter she sent, and the response from the society. It is DISGUSTING how they treat their members, but can hypocritically do whatever THEY want, like joining the UN for "personal" reasons. SCUMBAGS
