  Growing up in the NYC area of the U.S., there were many black witnesses that were at the conventions we attended. It was just how the demographic was in this part of the country.

  Are the Jehovah's Witnesses really false prophets, perhaps being mentally manipulated by the Watchtower Corporation ? ?

  there is a lot of public scrutiny going on these days about the jw religion particularly on the inter - net.

  one of the posed questions which gets debated and discussed quite often, are the jws false prophets instigated to preach a tainted commercialized gospel under the direction of the executive leaders of the watchtower corporation ?

  these focused men who are responsible for creating the core doctrines of this organization.

  Peely - I too feel exactly the same way, now. It seems quite evident that the WTBS has gone off the "rails". It has been hijacked by an evil slave, and they are running it now.

  I think there were some GB members who were sincere, and were maybe ousted like Henschel was. It is clear, though, that now, the GB is fully being controlled by Satan.

  Satan does not come with horns and pitchfork. He comes in suit, and tie, with pinky rings. They claim to be speaking truths, but are only spewing blasphemy.

  Peely - I really appreciate those scriptures you posted above. Its nice to see it clearly. Those scriptures are going to be very useful, as I will have them shown to a few JW's that are starting to see what we see. Using actual scriptures like those, and under the context of what we are speaking about, is a great way to "wake" up some still in the Org, but who are questioning things.

  If we come at them with a bunch of words and theories, it may be lost on them, but if we show them using their own bible, it will have a greater effect. Thank you, I can guarantee those scriptures will be used to great advantage.

  Isnt it "funny" how the article says that the JW's that were out door to door, and being questioned by the media, SLAMMED the van door in their face.

  Well isn't that interesting. The JW's have been lamenting for years how they are SOOO rudely treated, and always getting doors slammed in THEIR FACES.

  Well they sure as shit know how to slam doors in other peoples faces, when the "need" arises.

  HYPOCRITES.

  will i say " orlando, your hair is too long, and needs to be cut short" and never will i say " orlando, invites to birthday parties can't be accepted".

  and i will buy my son books he wants to read, books that bring him happiness, and that he understands.

  and by so doing, i hope he will acquire happy memories of his childhood, so that the sensitive and delicate, in him will be allowed to grow.

  These kind of good experiences with our children, really warm my heart.

  I was a "born in", and my whole childhood was in the "truth". We all know the deal, NO Christmas, birthdays, holidays, organized sports, no real emphasis on higher education, and all that. Even as a "normal" boy growing up, I wanted to play with certain toys, but couldn't. No play guns, no army men, no GI Joes. It may not sound like a big deal now, but when you are a child, it is EVERYTHING.

  I feel that certain aspects of my childhood were stolen from me. I do have to say, though, that my family DID go on many vacations. We DID have one day a year, called "family day", where my parents gave me and my sister some gifts. It was an attempt to make up for lack of Christmas and B days.

  My parents are still alive, and now I have my own children. Its funny but, I believe my parents are kind of "awake" now. My father, a few years ago, made an attempt to try and apologize for bringing us up in the Borg, but I kinda stopped him before he said it, and said it was all OK. For some reason, I couldn't let my Father feel burdened with him thinking that, so I laid it to rest, before it even started.

  My real way of making this RIGHT, is raising my daughters. We enjoys life to the fullest. I am lucky enough to be self employed, and be able to have REAL time to spend with my daughters. We live a financially comfortable life, but not at the expense of me being a Father who works constantly and misses my children growing up.

  I have been there from the beginning, and can enjoy ALL their activities, and whatever things they are involved in. We enjoy holidays, we enjoy birthdays, we enjoy being a stable, loving family. There is no stress to slave for an organization that doesn't give two shits about you. There is no unnecessary pressure put upon my children to have to live up to man made rules, and expectations. My love for them is not conditional on if they are "spiritually" strong enough. My love for them is not conditional on if they are striving for "privileges" in a man made organization.

  It is REAL love. A love for them, and for the beautiful hearts they have, and the wonderful young humans they truly are. I am proud of the job I did raising them AWAY from the "truth". They are kind hearted, well intentioned, decent, and real human beings. I helped them be this way, by NOT raising them in the "truth".

  They have had some recent windfalls of money lately, that's very true. However, their STEADY sources of income are drying up.

  For years they were able to "milk" the cow. Now, however, they have butchered the cow. Yes, they have made a lot of money by selling the meat, but once that money is gone, there is NO more cow to milk, or butcher.

  The irony of this is at the ultimate level. Lets really think about this. There is a JW actor/musician, playing a part in a video, about NOT going into acting and music.

  This is ridiculous. It would be comical, if it wasn't so EVIL in its hypocrisy, and sinister in that it WILL affect human beings in a harmful way.

  "Staring" in these videos, is the modern equivalent of when someone in "good standing", used to be featured in the Watchtower or Awake rags. You were considered "spiritually strong" if a picture of you ever made it into the magazines. I can only imagine the fanfare someone must get in the borg, if they are featured in a video.

  This kind of hypocrisy has existed in this cult for years. I personally knew of a "sister" who LIED about her past, so she could be featured in a Watchtower magazine. Well, the article in the mag was about CHILD BIRTH. Guess what, a number of years earlier, SHE HAD AN ABORTION, and was DFd for it.

  It shows how people in this Borg will lie, and hide whats really going on, just to up their "status". Whether this brother is deceiving the Borg, or not, either way the WTBS is guilty of HYPOCRISY, and not checking backgrounds, all for a better propaganda machine.

  Finkelstein - While you are right that the scam of the WTBS cant ABRUPTLY stop, because of a "wall" built around it, it CAN still stop.

  It will collapse from WITHIN that insulated "wall" they tried to protect themselves with. The Borgs own policies, and self destructive ways, are bringing it down, NOW.

  It started as a gradual decline, but in the past 20 years has been a domino of breaking down. As one action occurs, and another, then it causes a reaction, and so on. The slow gradual decline, has now reached a much faster pace.

  It is swirling the toilet very quickly now. The "flush" of 20 years ago, is reaching its end. Down, down, down, the tubes it will go.

  Trolley cart "witnessing" is getting ridiculous

  i really fail to see how much actual "witnessing" is occurring with the trolley carts.publishers, usually pioneers, just stand or sit there not engaging anyone and count their time.. the only thing i notice that it's accomplishing is brand exposure for jw.0rg so the public is exposed to the logo and literature/poster card headlines.. take for example this "evening" witnessing by a pioneer elder while on summer holiday/vacation.. .

  is this not a wth kinda moment when you consider the years of slaving, knocking on doors, business territory and bible studies we had to keep performing so we weren't branded a "weak" publisher?.

  The cart witnessing is coinciding perfectly with the BORG changing from a publishing company to the current real estate company that they have become.

  You see, this actually proves that the "preaching" work was all along just about selling books and literature for the mother publishing company.

  Now that the publishing is no longer a viable business, they conveniently switch to a useless, non effective, "preaching" work.

  If this really was believed to be the final days, the preaching work should be AMPING up. It should be increasing by leaps and bounds. More publishing and publishing buildings should be increasing, not shutting down.

  Its plain as day to see where the Borgs "heart" is now. The publishing, and preaching, has taken a back seat to its real estate.

  Of course, the Borg couldn't just flat out shut it all down, after decades of pushing service, and time. So, they make a nice, easy, sterile, type of way to "preach" now. It keeps the R$F from not questioning, and all parties are pacified.

  i salute you.. when i was in, i was a brainwashed idiot.

  it instilled an arrogance and made me part of a community that contributed to your suffering.. i remember when i would see a jw parent drag their teens to the meeting.

  some of these parents had converted recently, some had been some years.

  Once you learn TTATT, and you see things thru different eyes, it is interesting to think back. Things start to become more and more into perspective.

  You look back, and you feel for the kids were dragged to the mind numbing meetings. The kids taken into the back rooms and having the "rod" of discipline used on them. It was abusive to expect a child to sit for 2 hours straight and not make a sound.

  I look back, and feel for my own childhood, that was taken from me, too.

  Anyone else feel guilty about bringing others into the "truth", once you have learned TTATT ?

  i guess this is not so much about guilt, per se, but more so if you feel an obligation to reveal what you now know about ttatt, to those who you have studied with, taught the "truth" to, and are still in the borg ?.

  i am sure most of us, after learning about the evils, and lies perpetrated by this organization, must feel some sort of guilt for being the catalyst in "exposing" others to the cult.

  honestly, i feel none of us should actually, feel guilty though.

  Happy Dad - Based on what you said, about your friend having his own issues with the Borg, I bet if you did reach out to him you both would probably be on the same page.

  Sometimes, you just need to hear it from someone else who is in the "know", and it confirms their own thoughts. They may not feel so "afraid" once they realize they are not alone. Also, if they realize they can comfortably talk to someone about things, and without the fear of being "outed", it helps.

  I would reach out to that friend, under the guise of just wanting to say HI and reconnect, first. Feel him out, and then let him know where you are with things. Then you may see you are both sharing the same thoughts.

  It seems like you would have nothing to lose, and only everything to gain by doing it.
