Ok Ok.....so i'll throw my hat in the ring now too....

Recently separated (left JW husband to marry BAD BOY Rebound Man).

Well, Bad Boy Rebound Man has drug and alcohol problem. So ......he's history. Waiting on saving up enough $$$ to finally file.

I love to laugh...(as some of you that I met at the Dallas apostofest can attest to..) and would love to meet new people and make new friends.....and maybe something special would develop from there, if i'm lucky?

and love to have FUNNNNNNNN!!!! MOTHER OF THREE TRYING TO BE SEXY BELOW..... IF I CAN REMEMBER HOW!(LOL)

Opinions Please on Family Letter

i sent the following to my jw son today and, of course, i'm antsy about his reaction.

i love you, jw son, and from 28 years of being a jw, understand completely your religious views.

this is my decision and reasons for it.

Awesome letter! However, I agree with Hmmmm....

Send the letter only if you are certain that his stand on the disfellowship shunning issue hasn't changed. He may have softened up and may not feel as strongly about it. However, if you guys have already had "tension" regarding this recently, then the letter is extremely well written - especially the part about keeping it an EMAIL so to avoid an emotional response that would further inflame the situation.

Prescribed walking times @ Conventions?

i just read this off another thread that was on the jwzone.... "at my dc, i sit in my seat for the entire teaching program.

i sing, i take notes, i enjoy it, i feel moved, encouraged, blessed.

I know i've been out for a while, but....this is new to me. PRESCRIBED WALKING TIMES? WHAT THE HELL IS THAT ABOUT? Jesus....what do they do, assign you a time to get up and pee and stretch your legs? is it assigned by last name? congregation? or do they all mill about at the same time (all several thousand at once). can someone fill me in on that one?

that just blew me away.

1000 asked to leave Brooklyn Bethel!

1000 were asked to leave brooklyn bethel (actually, this includes the farm and patterson) "voluntarily!

" only 6 replied to the request in the last 3 weeks.

it looks like the "waters" of bethel are drying up, or rather, their revenues are drying up!

Kit - Please don't misunderstand my humor on previous post......I don't take pleasure either in the fact that many of these people (especially the olders ones) are going to be left out in the cold.

I DO HOWEVER TAKE GREAT PLEASURE in the BORG falling on its face. There are always really hard feelings when people are "pink slipped"......especially when it is not VOLUNTARY. Another question arises, will the Legal Beagles at the watchtower require these people to sign confidentiality agreements upon leaving? and if so, wouldn't that send off a RED FLAG to those leaving? I sure as hell would.

In any event, it's obvious they are not going to have many people WANTING to leave voluntarily. So if they're ASKED to leave, all sorts of hard feelings are going to be milling around, thus creating the environment for all KINDS of stories to leak out....now that they've been STABBED in the back.

Having been a lay off survivor a few times, this always happens in corporations. Lay offs are UGLY...no two ways about it. And WT is a corp just like all others when you get right down to it. It will be interesting to see what happens when they start dismissing people.

oK. So now the question is......

What are the severance packages like? Will they have 2 weeks worth of free magazines? What about medical/insurance....can they go back to the Bethel infirmary thru the end of the month if they get sick? Will the upper management get books instead of magazines? since they're upper management?

Man, I'll be all the publishing houses in NY are going to be inundated with applicants. Not to mention all the hotels (with a sudden influx of housekeeping candidates!) lol!
