Don't you understand Outof theOrg? Resources donated to help those cancer victims would mean less for the WTS. This "loving and caring" only goes so far. Helping out would mean less time for field service. Besides, the fact that they are having a hard time must mean that Jehovah is punishing them for not logging enough hours last year.

on occasion we will have a beer or two or some wine at the bar.
used to be a railroad town and has now only around 200 residents.

Pharmacy Refuses To Fill Birth Contol Pills-Do They Have That Right?
by wednesday inyesterday, a pharmacy cvc, refused to fill a script for birth control pills.
the customer was btw, a married woman with 2 kids.
the pharmicist aparently did not believe in birth control, so refused to fill the script.

I suspect that the Pharmacist in question will soon be looking for another job. In small towns, there may be only one pharmacy or only one open at night or on Sunday. He doesn't have the right to impose his religious views on others. If his company stocks the product, they expect it to be sold.

Has anyone ever experienced a miracle?
by new light indoes anyone have a true story that unquestionably proves god's existence?
bible stories or amazing coincidences do not count as a viable response, sorry to say.
i'm asking as a person who, although good-hearted and "moral", has lost all faith in an outside god of any kind.

If you define miracles as "supernatural" events, then you don't understand what a miracle is. You would do well to reread sentinel's post. Here are a few selected principles from A Course in Miracles, p. 3.
3. Miracles occur naturally as expressions of love. The real miracle is the love that inspires them. In this sense everything that comes from love is a miracle.
6. Miracles are natural. When they do not occur something has gone wrong.
10. The use of miracles as spectacles to induce belief is a misunderstanding of their purpose.
11. Prayer is the medium of miracles. It is a means of communication of the created with the Creator. Through prayer love is received, and through miracles love is expressed.
14. Miracles bear witness to truth. They are convincing because they arise from conviction. Without conviction they deteriorate into magic, which is mindless and therefore destructive; or rather, the uncreative use of mind.
20. Miracles reawaken the awareness that the spirit, not the body, is the altar of truth. This is the recognition that leads to the healing power of the miracle.
35. Miracles are expressions of love, but they may not always have observable effects.
45. A miracle is never lost. It may touch many people you have not even met, and produce undreamed of changes in situations of which you are not even aware.

You are correct in not having faith in a God "out there". The root of all our trouble is the belief in a "God Out There". Do not imagine that you have successfully accomplished a separation from God. You were created as a unique idea in the mind of God and ideas never leave their source. Jesus told us that "my kingdom is not of this world". He also said " the kingdom is within you".

I doubt if this ruling will stand for long. The 5th Circuit is notorious for being reversed by the Supreme Court. Yeru is correct. Of course the power will be abused. The New Orleans police department used to have one of the worst reputations in the nation. Don't know what their current situation is. I was born and raised in LA and was glad to leave it in my rear view mirror. The corruption in that state was awful. We are entertaining their former Govenor in our federal prision here in Fort Worth.

according to scripture, he died to save the world and carried the sins of the world with him as he died.
he actually suffered an horrendous death, dying 3 hours after being crucified.

I agree that Judas got a bad rap. I suspect that he was a Zealot and very aware of the relationship that Jesus had with God. The betrayal was probably designed to put God on the spot and force him to intervene(read throw the Romans out) in order to save Jesus from being crucified. I doubt that he expected the event to take place and perhaps envisioned God sending an army of angels to deal with the Romans.
