i gotta go with snow on that, you look far too nice to be scary, and of course you got the will smith look about ya so that just blows it totally.

Illustration To Explain "This Generation" Change

i just had this idea for how a speaker might illustrate the much-discussed 'overlapping generation' doctrine.. "imagine a series of lamps, placed in order from left to right.

as you turn each of them on, what you ultimately have is a set of overlapping lights, that, when combined, form one composite light, so that even if, by some chance, one of the lights gets turned off, you still have the remaining lights which overlap with each other.

in the same way, the current generation of anointed ones have long, faithful records of service to jehovah alongside the past generation of anointed ones who saw the events of 1914. they have served as an overlapping light of spiritual nourishment for jehovah's people in this time of the end.

Memorial Service at Khall - would you go (even as a DF'd exJW)?

i ask because a friend of mine (who stays in touch once in awhile) had made it clear to me about 6 mos ago that he didn't care if i was df'd or not - that he still would speak to me and check up on me.

well his parents are both disabled, and his father recently died in the house!

so he sends me a text telling his father passed - and i told him i would call him.

yup it would be nice to accept the invitation from your friend, but one accepted invite can and probably will lead to more invitations.

do you then have to accept the next invite, then the next?

they'd probably be more hurt if they got their hopes up that they were 'saving' you.

i really appreciate your offer and i know that you will always be my friend, but as the dust is settling in my absence i would just like to keep it that way especially as i have a PFA against whoever. (my presence could be construed as provocation to that party?)
