by jamesmahon ini must confess to 'lurking' occasionally for several years on this site - purely because i am bone idle and spend most of my day writing with work.
many of the posts are really funny, moving or both and very well written so thanks to all who contribute.. as can no doubt be seen by my inability to recognise that maybe having your own name as a username may not be the best of ideas (i don't have anything to hide but even so - it does reveal a complete lack of imagination), i have not posted to any forum before as far as i can remember.
my story is at least as 'entertaining' as some others on here and when i get the time will right it down if only as another warning for all the doubting jws that may read it.

m25 {{{{{{{{{shudder}}}}}}}}} i've managed to end up at the tunnel barriers twice when i've been coming home from the north side and missed the bridge. (barriers down and blues and twos escort both times)but at least i got off paying the toll.
last trip i made that end was round trip to catterick via cambridge for a funeral, took me two days to lose the hallucinations.
hull, my daughter moved there and theyve already assimilated her into a walking foreign accent.
littlest has just gone up for a fortnight, she'll have caught it too by the time she comes home.

spider removing is my job, my daughter calls them huge, so we do the huge weeny? huge waving a kebab? or huge chewin on a cat? routine while i work out whether its a spider emergency rescue mission.
if my cats catch them first the legs go, but thats only to stop the juicy bit crossing its legs and making itself hard to swallow or climbing back out. occassionally they look like theyve got an extra set of whiskers or grown a moustasche.

Long Distance Adultery and Other Issues
by buddhaisbetter inallow me a moment to introduce myself: first of all, i am not a member of your faith as surely can be garnered from my choice of user name.
i joined this forum with the intention of getting some information on a situation i'm forced to contend with that concerns my son.
my questions are not designed to bash your beliefs, regardless of my personally held opinions and i hope that any discussion can be conducted without contention.

**Probably she has fabricated that. In strict JW rules, this girl could have been disfellowshipped (JW version of excommunication) just for being in the hotel room with him alone overnight**
pretty much sums it up.
**My son who lives with me is 23. He suffers from depression and tragically low self esteem. He is very overweight in conjunction or perhaps due to these factors. He has little to no social life. He cannot seem to hold a job. He hasn't had a girlfriend - except for the following situation.**
its a pity that your son who sounds like quite a nice sensitive guy, for wanting to up sticks and take care of this person, save her from her horrible husband etc is probably being taken advantage of. i wonder if he's truly considered the practicalities of supporting himself and two other mouths miles away from his home support system.
taking on a ready made family isnt easy at the best of times, doing it while youre depressed will be harder, and low self esteem will make interviews for jobs to keep said woman and child (cos its very likely that will be a requirement) more difficult.
so my suggestion would be that your son needs to concentrate on making himself stronger before he leaves home.
doctors counselling whatever for the depression low self esteem, if he is considering baptism he is leaving himself open to being shunned the california end, so maybe giving her a little time to end her marriage and clear the decks before he arrives.(least she can do to show commitment)
if keeping a job is a problem thats a disadvantage when he arrives in a strange town, so maybe set his mind to get and keep a job in ohio for a period that will give him a good reference when he moves. it will also enable him to save up a bit of money cos moving is expensive.
if hes truly serious about going then he should be equally serious about planning and preparing.

how long does it take for your insect victims to dehydrate and starve to death?
