I am thinking new Insight volumes as well. So many changes since 1988 plus most of the Insight was copied from the old AID book and that was written by one of the "evil slave" so they may want to further distance themselves.

Duped by my dub mother

i am just sick, and sick and sick of her treating my children and me like we don't matter.
she sent this message, and when i replied she told me it was a joke and then rejected my invitation to lunch, since they'd already made plans with their friends who are moving to the different congregation.

Re. Rearranging: They often do this at the suggestion of the CO or DO. Typically because there are issues on elder bodies or not enough elders or ministerial servants. Also could be due to small attendance which is the case in many congregations in my area.

Answers flowed freely, parroted right out of the watchtower with no thought or emotion. The iSheep were very accepting of the "wonderful adjustment in understanding" from their lords and saviors the GB of Jehovahs Witnesses.

i asked if the mid week meeting was also and was told yes, because of the assembly.. it seems there's an overload of theocratic alternative banqueting feasts available so.
that the regular menu at the kh is not necessary for that week.

This, I believe, will be the reaction that most JWs will have. Very, very sad but brainwashed minds will not allow them to go beyond just parotting off the answers at the WT study, shrugging their sholders, shelving any questions or doubts, and moving on.

If the big change at the AGM meeting is dropping the literal 144,000...
by slimboyfat inthe best conjecture seems to be that the gb are going to drop the literal 144,000 teaching, especially in view of the december watchtower that pointedly does not mention the 144,000 number.
if they are dropping the literal 144,000 number, but still claim that only a small number are anointed, and can partake, and that only a few are left on earth, then it is fair to ask what has really changed?
they are simply clearing up the embarrassing situation that there were obviously more than 144,000 "anointed" believers from 36 ad until now, and that the number of partakers has been increasing in recent years.

Well, I hope it's something big, but I won't get my hopes up. I am sure the meeting will be all about how progressive the ORG is, and include lots of stories about foreign assignments. That's where the growth is after all. It will be love, love, the end is soon, ORG, ORG, GB/FDS loyalty, ect. I am sure they will toot their horns and ask for money too.
I agree. Although part of me wonders if they will change more doctrine in time for perhaps a revised Revelation book this summer? Who knows
