Maybe the Watchtower only used "fractions" of their NGO status, and not the four main components.
lol..
i had the chance to speak with a circuit overseer, he was not my circuit overseer and it was my chance to get the offical party line why the watchtower joined the united nations.. .
"are you a jehovah witness he asked me?
(theocratical warfare allows lies according to the gb!

Your relative is either the Assembly Overseer, his assistant, DO/CO or you are a pioneer succubus that likes to eat s*it out of the asses of the aforementioned people.
my son grew up with one of the young brothers in the kingdom and after graduation both him and my son left the kh.
the young man who left the hall fell into the wrong crowd and i mean a really dangerous crowd and as a result of him getting involved in illegal activity he was murdered.
i really feel for this young man, because he was a decent kid.
they don't invest a dime in the youth, nothing!
Not trying to hijack this thread, this comment really deserves its own, but I think that this is a major issue with the WTS. They relegate any and all bible instruction to the parents (father really). If this is the case then why force the parents to waste hours in meetings, ministry, assemblies, conventions, etc. Take that all away and allow parents to raise their kids.
If they can't give parents their time back then how about after the public talk, designate an elder to go in the library and discuss a topic easy for kids to understand and that is relateable to them. So simple yet they dont want to be "mainstreaming it" you know Sunday School. So stupid this religion and they wonder why they are bleeding kids left and right.
for those of you who have travelled the world over, which country or city will you consider the place to live in the world.
Lucerne, Swiss Republic. Also Northern California (Wine Country).

one sister opened her heart this way: "i've since left the world and do not desire to go back.
lol sir2. I couldn't have put it better myself.

I have been saying it on other threads, but this Jeremiah book is complete and total garbage. Whover wrote this book should be ashamed of themselves.
does anyone know if this strategy will work to avoid being disfellowshipped?
if one moves their card from one hall to another before a "wrongdoing" becomes public - and then refuses to meet with the elders at the new hall - will they simply be able to fade away without being disfellowshipped.
i had heard that if you refuse to meet with the elders, they generally will not df you - in order to avoid possible legal issues.
It depends on the situation and how badly they want you dealt with. According to the Elders handbook a df'ing situation can be held in abeyance if there is no immediate spiritual threat from the individual or his/her situation is not well known in the community and the individual can't be reached by reasonable means
If they really are out to get you then you can be df'ed in absentia if they can prove what you are being accused of via witnesses or other evidence that they deem appropriate. It honestly depends on how much they "want to get you". Anything can be swept under the carpet if they want to.
can jehovah's witnesses eat blood sausage if its made with only blood fractions
Well since the biblical ban is only for eating blood (Leviticus 7:4, Genesis 9:4,) then I would say no. Even Acts 15:29 clearly shows that in context of things (false religious sacrificial animals) sacrificed to idols, and things strangled its again referring to food.
so i've heard lots of talk from within about the 'new light' in this watchtower...i'm yet to look at it in any detail.
i'm kind of surprised actually...i first heard about it here before it was even available but close to the time it did come out people started bringing it up - even our co.. some say things like "have you heard about this?
" or "big changes," or "allot of things they said we believed, i didn't realize,"(lots of that) or "brain-overload" or " too much information, but i've never felt more pumped up" or "it's soo exciting to see jehovah's spirit lead his organization..." or "it requires time to sink in, but it's a good feeling!
he never reads the study WT until the week of the actual WT study so it will be September before he looks at it.
I think this will be the norm. "Apostates" are more excited to get the latest literature than JWs are.
we have an older very faithfull elder body and whenever they talk about armegeddon or the end of this system of thiings, they always use "very near, close, soon, etc".
well on the stage one elder when talking about the great tribuation this week , he said "possibly in our lifetime" !!!
that really caught my attention and even my wife's too!
We are waking up and many, including myself, lurk or post on here. There is so much b/s spewing forth from the F&DS slave now its hard to ignore. Example: This weeks bible study in the Jeremiah book pretty much telling people not to have kids. wtf??? Jehovah spared Jerry the pain of losing his wife or kids so its better not to have kids or better yet stay single and pioneer? Where the fcuk do they come up with this b/s!
