Oh, and if you were a local from the Springfield, MA area in the late 60's, you might remember:
Jac Veronesi and Friends
I went to high school with his lead guitar player...they were a pretty big area band, though.

my wife asked for a seperation last week.
she rattles off a huge list of wrong things, like dress better when going out {wear a jacket?
} and be more ambitious like her since she would have been a millioniare if i wasn't holding her back?
Make sure you take her name off any credit card and bank accounts (even as an authorized user). If it's an account in both names, close it and open one in your name only. That way she won't as easily be able to run you into debt.
I live in West Milford now, but was never a JW in this area, so I don't know any of the locals. Mostly my JW years were spent in Massachusetts.

how do they actually know they are of the annointed?
all they would say is "i just know" or "they just know".. this always struck me as odd.
glory seekers i guess..
Mar 13:22
For f alse Christs [Greek kristos, "anointed ones"] and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect-if that were possible. Is e-watchman the same guy who used to post here as "You Know"?
from the message bible:.
deuteronomy 18:20 "but any prophet who fakes it, who claims to speak in my name something i haven't commanded him to say, or speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die.
21 -22 you may be wondering among yourselves, "how can we tell the difference, whether it was god who spoke or not?
Yes, but they don't claim to be inspired prophets...
cant the elders make it so that any deviation or any thought could be considered "loose conduct" and therefore a disfellowshipping offense?
When people ask me whether you can be disfellowshipped from the JW's for such-and-such a thing, my answer for a long time now has been, "You can be disfellowshipped for anything that three elders can agree you should be disfellowshipped for."
in another thread vm44 asked if there was any biblical precedent to a demon attaching itself to an inanimate object.. no one answered on that thread yet.
i don't recall any such thing being in the bible.. does anyone have a scripture that shows the demons can attach or demonize an inanimate object?.
if not, then it really does seem plausible that the wts are using the demons just like other religions may use hellfire.
I do believe that the concept of evil spirits attaching themselves to inanimate objects is part and parcel of the religion of Voodoo. You surely won't find the concept in the Bible. I thought JW's had done away with all pagan doctrines?
