that's kind of how i felt when i first started posting here. Leaving the organization never made a difference to me regarding how i felt about God and now reading and posting here hasn't either

Faith in God should not be weak because of a wicked organization?!
by Mr Fool ini feel it strange that many here is here because of the wt organizations lies, contradictions etc (?!).
a deep and personal belief in god should not stand or fall because of a wicked organization that manipulate people.
i have a feeling that other christians in other organizations are more stable in their belief.

How I miss the 'Truth' of my youth....
by gingerbread inmy family moved from the city to the country.. part of the reason for the relocation was to move 'to where the need was greater'.
i loved our new home - i was free to roam the woods and fields, enjoy the wildlife, work in our garden and feed the chickens.
i had new friends in our new congregation.

I think there was a difference in the truth when my parents became Witnesses. Halls where we attended meetings were sometimes rented places.
However i don't really think i can name much if anything i liked. The Watchtower study at the hall instead of Stingray.

Guilty and Stupid

I don't think that there is anything wrong with the posters on this site or anything.
I think i have some sort of addiction to the site that i don't understand. i should have been working this morning but instead i'm typing on here and then i'm not saying anything new. this is probably the guilt and stupidity.
A while before i left the witnesses i had a meeting with some elders and was accused of going against mother, apostasy, it wasn't . i think there is still that feeling as if your talking against a parent. i have a fear of saying something that isn't quite right and it being slander or libel. so i try to give quotes but then i worry about copyright infringement.
I feel a lot of failure in life due to the witnesses and some need to justify to myself why i left and i think that's why i post, more for myself than anything. i think that's why 1975 irritates me so much. Not a good subject if elders ever visit.
Then it's most likely just me. I'm a worrier. I used to go to our friends for dinner and come home and sit up all night churning over in my head everything I'd said.

The bible condemns Christian religions that teach, Wait!
by Crazyguy inknow where in the bible will you find christian religions being condemned for teaching the trinity or hell fire doctrines, but you will find jesus condemning those that come as messiah's or christs (both mean anointed) and declaring 'the time is near'.
you will also find paul cursing anyone that preaches a gospel different then the apostles preached as well as cursing those that change or add to the bible.
oh darn jw's thats you, you fit the bill in all of these!!!!!!

I was baptised about 1972. In 1971 the book The Nations Shall Know That I Am Jehovah-How? was published by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society.
It said this on page 216.
Shortly, within our twentieth century, the "battle in the day of Jehovah" will begin against the modern antitype of Jerusalem, Christendom
on page 286 it says,
What a thrilling moment it will be when, during the coming "great tribulation" on this present system of things, the authentic news comes from all around the earth that the antitypical Jerusalem, Christendom, has fallen at the hands of Jehovah's executional forces. This will be a vindication of the modern-day Ezekiel class, to authenticate that they have not been a false prophet but have been a faithful "watchman" class in sounding out Jehovah's warnings to Christendom.
The modern-day Ezekiel class was identified on page 66 of the book as
Jehovah has found and commissioned his modern-day "Ezekiel." It is a composite Ezekiel. It is composed of those dedicated, baptised proclaimers of God's kingdom, who have been anointed with His spirit for their work.
As this did not happen within the twentieth century or within the generation that they identified at the time of my baptism i cannot see how they are a true prophet.
I baptised and joined with them in the preaching work proclaiming God's Kingdom. I pioneered straight from dropping out of high school at sixteen because i believed the end was very close. ( Read the book God's Eternal Purpose Now Triumphing For Man's Good 1974 Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society where it explains the seventh creative day and how we were almost at the end of 6000 years of a 7000 year creative day with a full thousand year reign of Christ to follow Armageddon)
I no longer join with them in the proclaiming God's Kingdom. However I remain Christian. I don't think that Witnesses teach I will be saved, as i am not a witness, unless i join them in their proclaiming God's Kingdom. To join them I would have to preach 1914 as the birth of the kingdom. The invisible presence of Christ. So it seems to me that my salvation is dependent on proclaiming this good news and not necessarily on faith in Christ.
I could be totally wrong but that's how I see it.

by James Jackson ini have been posting for a few months now and have read the life stories of tech49, confusedandalone, winston smith and other brothers who have held prominent positions in the organization who were dismissed not for any gross sins, but mainly for not keeping their child toeing the line.
they have been "cast aside", nit picked to death, and made to feel unworthy for their years of dedicated service.
even in my case, having my best friends treat me like the plague to jockey for position of recogntion.. is this what the organization is resorting to now?

i think most elders i've known don't mind giving the lesser one a good kicking so to speak.
This probably is not the best way to express what I mean. My experience with elders over the years was not good.
As an example on one occasion when I was depressed rather than talk to me the body of elders felt it would be better for the circuit overseer to mention something in his talk to the congregation. It clearly identified me in a very negative way. Being depressed and shown as doing something wrong in front of large congregation wasn't the best way to handle it although they told me afterward they thought it was. None of the elders had spoken to me before the meeting although they had weeks to do it. At first some elders denied it had even been discussed at their meeting with the co.
I could give other examples but I won't. I never found a lot of difference between elders. However I'm sure others did and no doubt it can be a difficult job.

James i couldn't have brought my kids up in the witnesses and to be an elder as well, no way. i have a good relationship with my kids. they care.
