I don't care about that though. What I do care about is the collous indifference to other people's pain and suffering.
I wish there was a hell so theists could burn in it.
I think Christian charity organizations have helped in these situations.

Faith - Virtue or Vice?
by nicolaou infaith gives you permission to believe that jesus actually did feed thousands with a few loaves & fishes, walk on water and rise from the grave.
all the evidence proves that none of this happened so why persist with faith?
why be dishonest with yourself?

when i was a witness i always had a good reputation as did our family, as a child my teachers spoke very well of me and later so did my employers. when we left the witnesses i discussed with my parents how much of an influence they were and how much was due to our faith. i think i would have been a very different person had i not had faith and been raised as a witness. so i think it's a virtue.

Why do you come here?
by love2Bworldly ini come here to learn, but i also come here because it feels like a private club and i'm privy to be a member of the "in" crowd.
it's a great place to socialize.
does anyone else feel that they are a member of a special "club" when they come here, that only some people in this world will understand the jw world?.

1914 or 1934 ?
by Chris Tann ini have thoroughly researched the watchtower doctrine of 1914, and am convinced it is neither biblically or historically correct.
but every now and then i wonder how ironic it is that world war 1 did start in that year, also pestilence and famine perused.
maybe, just maybe the witnesses are correct.

An elder said to me that it wouldn't make a difference if it was 1934.
I'm not aware of God's Chariot rolling up and commissioning anyone in 1939 to speak in His name.

WT for this Sunday...You are My Witnesses
by Legacy inwt 7/15/2014....page 27...question # 17...what will we consider in the next article...paragraph 17...but how can we be jehovah witnesses and at the same time be witnesses of jesus....well well well...i think they really got the point...all through the greek scriptures, that's what jesus has been saying...we are to witness about him....in the hebrews scriptures was about jehovah god, most of the world got that.
now jehovah, put another spoke in the wheel his son...jesus...that's who paul has been talking about all along...that he was witness of jesus, paul knew who god was.
i think the society monitors sites like these & others & found out....they may have been, uh...wrong....wonder how are they going to spin this one off....i won't read the next article just yet... comments anyone ..... legacy.

I find this interesting in the book Jehovah's Witnesses Proclaimers of God's Kingdom (WTB&TSof Pennsylvania 1993) page 17/18.
'Through the prophet Isaiah, Jehovah issued the challenge: "Who is there among them [the gods of the nations] that can tell this [prophesy accurately]? Let them [as gods] furnish their witnesses, that they may be declared righteous, or let them [the peoples of the nations] hear and say, 'It is the truth!' (Isa. 43:9) Yes, let the gods of the nations furnish witnesses who could testify regarding the prophesy of their gods, "It is the truth!" But none of such gods could produce true witnesses to their godship!'
I find it interesting in regard to some of the information in this thread
