Please help me figure out my dreams
by Socrateswannabe inhi everyone, this may be the stupidest post ever.
i am stumped for an answer and would love to hear your opinions, though.
every week or two for the last couple of years, i have a dream--or at least that's what i'm calling it--that consists of me waking up or thinking that i've waked up, and seeing the ceiling of my darkened bedroom filled with algebraic equations.

Village Idiot I knew I awake, so to speak, in a dream and just before I woke I'd seen some real ugly characters so I wasn't in the mood to go through the door, maybe next time. -

I've had a couple of lucid dreams. last one I woke up in a small darkish room in a single bed and knew it wasn't real I called my wife and she answered me from beyond the closed blackish bedroom door and wanted me to join her. I declined as I knew it wasn't real and felt I shouldn't. had a little difficulty getting back. -

Before knowing TTATT did you really believe in things as...
by roberto avon indid you really believe in things as ;- the earth is only 6000 years old- the 144.000- 1914, based upon the destructiono of jerusalem- harmagheddon or the end of the world coming soon???
?i married a jw when i was an interested person and studying with the jw's ( not the way they wanted) but i told my wife before marrying her that " most probably " i would never have been a jw.she accepted me as i was and married me.
after that i had interrupted the study for one year, i started all over again with an elder of my wife's cong.

Harmagheddon or the end of the world coming soon
I think that to be a 'witness' one had to believe and have faith in the good news regarding the establishment of God's kingdom in 1914 and the elevation of the 'Servant' mentioned in Isaiah to the throne of the Messianic Kingdom so that they could join with the anointed remnant in the preaching and so by doing be a witness.
As a witness and recognising Matthew 24:14 as being fulfilled all the other beliefs followed which included the appointment of the 'faithful slave class' and the role assigned to them.

I believed in 1975 we were 6000 years into the 7th creative day and that the generation that saw the events of 1914 would not pass away before the end came.
When 1975 went I had no doubts regarding the 'truth' as I believed as the light gets brighter things become more clear and there had been things in the past like 1925.
I believed that it was right to join the anointed in the preaching work before the Great Tribulation strikes.
My belief came from study and personal experiences. In the early 90's it changed and I felt I could no longer be 100% sure in my mind of what I was preaching due to a Watchtower article that related to an experience in the ministry and so I stopped.

I've never seen the show that you mention. however I have watched a few horror movies and shows with supernatural things in them. often times I tend to find that they make me laugh.
On occasions, two that I can think of, I've turned the programme off. One was a radio programme and the other a video on the computer. they seemed to reach some part of me that the others didn't.

How many of you still believe in God or are still Christians?
by JWCartPusher inhello, i asked a new but old friend how many people are still christians after leaving the watchtower's mind control agency, for statistical purposes do you mind if i do a survey and see how many of you are believers?.
please don't post if your not a believer out of respect for this poll, we need to sharpen each other's sword and help build each other up and meet new friends over the internet with faith in god or some other force of the universe.
i asked another person how we can still manage our faith after getting burned by the high group mind control, he had a few ideas but he's not really involved with god because of how life burned him.

How do I keep my faith?
for me not a lot changed other than i could not support the preaching of the 'good news' as a witness.

If you are single and have married friends, . . .
by compound complex inis your sense of loneliness (if you are lonely) heightened when you see what they share?
how do cope (if you are coping) with a sense of isolation, of not having a significant other?.
i know some single persons who are very happy as they are.

I have lived for a while on my own in an otherwise empty house where I only had access to a couple of the rooms. It was also rather cold you could see you breath in the air although the heating was on. It was also in a rural location with no phone and very dark outside at night. I felt somewhat lonely.
There's a picture that was in a children's book that made me feel really sad when I was preschool I can still see it in my mind. It gave a great sense of loneliness and how I wouldn't want to end up like that.
