Thank you so much for bumping this post. It must have been so hard to be so patient. All of those years. I wish I'd had the patience. Its hard for me to hold in things that I know about the society. I thought I was also planting seeds for the past year, but it didn't seem to work. I'm going to print this out and hopefully will be able to use some of your points down the line. Of course I'm not the husband/elder so there is only so much I can do before he tries to take his 'head of household' b.s stand.

Two witness rule: Stop using it, its not working on JWs!
by StephaneLaliberte inmost jws don't see this as a problem.
they reason that.
just like the jws, the police will not convict a pedophile over the story of one victim alone, there must be collaborative evidence.

I completely agree with you, but as they already announced more than once: They will NEVER change the 2 witness rule. :(

Loving a JW
by stevilla inhereβs a little back story.
i met this jw girl 4 months ago online and found out she was a jw 2 months later after confessing my liking for her.
we had a long conversation about it with her explaining what exactly a jw is and the rules and what not.

Please know that the Jehovah's Witness Religion is a destructive totalitarian cult that will make your life miserable. (ask anyone on here) I was a born in for 25 years, married an inactive Jw (we were both inactive at the time) and after 4 years of marriage he has gone back to them out of the blue. He is still 100% indoctrinated and now we are probably getting a divorce. I dont really have advice because im not in your situation, but there will ALWAYS be a chance that she flips a switch and decides to go back. Its a scary thing. (read my last post if you have time)
you are still young and have your whole life ahead of you!

Charles T Russell -a freemason and the connection to the illuminati...
by dolphman inok, i'm not one for conspiracy theories but lately i've uncovered some interesting facts that i think warrant some attention.. first of all, russell was a freemason.
all the early watchtower and books he authored have freemason symbology and art throughout them.
not a big deal i thought, until i read more about freemasons and the so-called "illuminati", a group of 13 families that supposedly control the world.. supposedly these 13 families, such as the duponts, mcdonalds, kennedys, .

I know the original post is 13 years old but I am so deep into a new rabbit hole regarding the Elite/Illuminati theories and was unable to find recent posts. Can anyone here please tell me their thoughts on this topic? If CTR was really involved w/Freemasons and if the Rotchilds helped fund the JWReligion then that would mean the WT Society is part of the whole New Order plan? For those of you who have never heard of the Elite's Global agenda, SRA (satanic ritual abuse), MKUltra mind control, CERN's LHC, Bohemian grove, pizzagate you will probably not connect the dots. And I won't go into detail because I have learned awful things I wish I never had. But for any of you out there that have done research on this I'd love to hear your thoughts.
I know I will probably sound like a crazy person to most of you! π

Anointed Ratios
by Labate inanother recent topic got me thinking.
has there ever been any kind of study of the ratio of male to female anointed?
if the female anointed will be co-rulers in heaven with morris and company, why are they not represented as gb members and helpers before armageddon arrives?.

@neverajw wow that video made my blood boil. A woman wishing to do something a man can is now borderline homosexuality?? Unbelievable. Talk about verbal diarreah. Thanks for sharing!

and no i'm not talking about christmas and birthday parties.
i'm talking about your first kiss happening in your twenties instead of your teens.

My biggest regret is not having children. I thought I'd wait until 'the new system'. Now that I'm almost 38 & 'awake' I think I'm past my child bearing years and it's too late for me. I try not to be angry/bitter about it, but it's hard.

by John Davis inwho do you believe is financially benefiting from watchtower business dealings.
i know about the gold apple watch, but that is only a small percentage of the billions that they have.
so who do you think is keeping all of this money.

I would also like to know the answer to this. It's a question my brother asked when I tried exposing the lies of the gb re the UN ties & multiple child abuse claims.

I am struggling with having a spouse still 'in'. We have both been inactive for years but he still believes it's the 'truth'. We get along wonderfully until the subject of religion or beliefs come up. I try and plant seeds of doubt here & there. The other day he mentioned out of the blue he is tired of being told how to live his life. His parents are very active as are mine. So the best thing for us at the moment is not discussing religion. I also keep him/us busy doing fun things on the weekends so he doesn't have time for mtgs. He doesn't seem to mind not witnessing either. Baby steps..

Are Jehovah's Witnesses Mind Numbingly Boring To You?
by minimus ini honestly think they are the most boring people on earth!
even when they produce their so called "new light", there's no excitement.
jws just do their thing and refuse to think about their useless lives.

Yes so boring and repetitive, close minded, judgmental, delusional and so on. Just a few days ago I ran into an old Jw friend who is a borderline fanatic and she thinks Armageddon is still right around the corner. 38 yrs old, never married & no kids-by choice. Beautiful girl but wanted the 'perfect brother'. She sounded like a mad woman talking about how god will pluck the gb members from their homes into heaven when Armageddon comes. So maybe not always boring but definitely always delusional.

Humourous reactions to beards worn at the kingdom Hall
by UnshackleTheChains inis this the reaction you get when you walk into a kingdom hall sporting your new beard π.

There are a couple of brothers with full beards at my old KH (in Australia) both have privileges, give talks & have bible studies who attended mtgs. Guess no one cares they have beards as long as they are bringing 'sheep' in. π At the assemblies so many of the men sport beards no one really blinks an eye.
