Judicial Committee Meetings Sexual Matters

anyone had three elders (judicial committee) question you on sex before marriage?.

case in point, being raised as one of jehovah's witnesses, i partied with peers that were witnesses by tradition, inherent faith.

at the age of eighteen (1992), i was conversing about the elders with a group of witnesses, and a girl who had been before a judicial committee chimed in and said, they ask questions that are none of their fucking business.

Can someone (anyone) please tell me why so many witnesses guilty of adultery obtain divorces from their innocent forgiving mates, then get married without being disfellowshipped. Are we looking at favoritism or just some elders' inability to comprehend their own "secret manual"?

The following was taken from the so-called very secret Elder's Manual Entitled "PAY ATTENTION

purpose for man.

" If the guilty one unilaterally obtains a divorce over the objection of the innocent mate, this does not free the guilty one to remarry. If he/she marries someone else while the innocent mate is still willing to forgive his adultery and resume their marital arrangement, his/she is an adulterous marriage. (Luke 16:18) This calls for congregation judicial action in addition to any already taken, unless he has already been disfellowshipped."

What About Long Time Witnesses Who Don't get Invited to Zone Meetings........

what about long time witnesses who don't get invited to zone meetings........ we're preparing for another round of zone meetings in our area.

my gf and her hubby have two daughters.

due to the financial cooperation and support of their parents who are actively preachers of the good news, both of these young ladies are full pioneers - never worked a day since high school.

What About Long Time Witnesses Who Don't get Invited to Zone Meetings.......

We're preparing for another round of Zone Meetings in our area. My GF and her hubby have two daughters. Due to the financial cooperation and support of their parents who are actively preachers of the good news, Both of these young ladies are full pioneers - never worked a day since high school. The kids get invited to the Zone Meeting - the parents don't because they've only been in the truth 10 years. Their girls attended meeting with their grandmother while parents worked. When grandmom passed, parents got the truth. Long story short, the parents don't get to go to the Zone meeting, but the full time pioneer teeny boppers do. How fair is that? First we're admonished to make ALL our meetings -- just not these - only if you're this, or that?

Another thing that grinds my gears. We know some friends who are traveling all the way from California to New York for the celebration of the CO's anniversary. It's a formal affair. Gowns, tuxes, etc. $45.00 per ticket. Invite only. C'mon now - what are we doing here?

Okay,I have been there and believe me it wasn't easy. You're "happily married" in the truth. Husband's an elder (coordinator these days), and long story short, boom! you suspect he's cheating - could he actually be having an affair. Who even has time? But all the signals were there. Coming home late, not being where he says he's going, oh yeah and a pair of ladies panties in his work bag. Anyway of course he denies it. God forbid he should admit to it and be taken off the stage at meetings, assemblies, etc. So like a dutiful witness wife of over 30 plus years, I plead with him to confess so we can move on with going to the brothers, and move on with our lives as a married couple in the truth. So what if he is no longer big man on campus - at least we still have our marriage. Not so easy folks. He denies it! The tell tale signs increase. Phone hang-ups, him pulling away, the whole bit. So I go to the elders for advice. Surprisingly, he again denied even the slightest inappropriate involvement with anyone. The elders either didn't believe, or didn't want to believe my husband was doing somebody on his job. "You have to have proof sis". PROOF??? You mean like him kissing her and stuff? "No sis, proof of him committing the actual act" " You mean as actually seeing them doing it?" Were they serious. Adultery Don't get me wrong, I lied and told him he gave me VD. So he had to admit to doing it. Please tell me where is found in the Bible folks that adultery must involve actual penetration and that it must be proven in order to obtain grounds for a scriptual divorce. Isn't my word enough? Afterall, shouldn't the truthfulness of such a charge be held for a time when we're judged on the basis of our acts. If a mate lies about such conduct, he/she should be left to Jesus at the appropriate time.
