  newbie seeking others thoughts

  basically i have been reading the bible lately & doing extensive research on the web and have come across many things in my search...any imput put on various scriptures or sites i would appreciate.... .

  first of all i found more than a few religions that resemble the teaching of the jw's...so can they honestly say they are the only ones with the "truth"?

  scriptures i came across in my studies this week (if you have any other translations of these same scriptures please quote them in ur response i have 2 kjvs as well as the nwt that i am using...thanks!

  Lying to someone on their deathbed...

  Look at this way . . .If after the person dies, they become aware that the JW's were just a false cult and what they taught were a pack of lies, do you think that that person would actually WANT their grandkids raised in the BIG LIE???

  help and advice needed plz

  hello,im 14 years old and i am a jehovahs witness.i have done research after things happened that didnt make sense to me.my sister has been disfellowshiped and is now out of the organization married wth 2 sons.my brother stopped going to the meetings and is engaged to be married to a non wittness in march of 05.my other brother has been reading apostate material and now doesnt believe this is the right religion and is very confused as am i.my mother is a avid witness was baptized in 1975 and pioneered for a while in the 80's.i love my mom very much,but i know this isnt the right religion and i want out.im not baptized but i was born in the truth so im on the ministry school and everything and im an unbaptized publisher.when my mom finnally finds out im leaving the truth it will break her heart as she really believes this is the right religion,and shes already had 3 kids do so.how can i leave without breaking her heart?i would stick it out for the next 3or4 years,just for her,but i really dont want to.plz help me figure things out.

  Only One Religion's WebSite Ignores the Desaster in South Asia

  to whatever religion's website you surf, all have a comment on the tsunami in south asia: be it catholic, protestant, adventist, mormon, new apostolic or whatever.

  they try to give comfort and encourage people to donate for the suffering people there.

  but if you go to http://www.watchtower.org or http://www.jw-media.org there is no mention of it (at least by now).

  the last i heard from him was wednesday night, around 6 p.m. or so, dec.22, 04. .

  On Mario's Dec 22 post he mentioned that he had LOST one of his cell phones on the hospital grounds, where Tonya is staying, while visiting there. That may be the reason he is not answering his cell phone.

  My parents rejected my invitation - because of the tree

  yesterday was a special day for my family and me: we bought our first x-mas tree.

  the kids are very enthusiastic about it.

  and i was happy providing them with something i did not have as a kid.

  Why don't you call her back and ask her if she has been shopping in any stores during December that had "trees and Christmas Decorations" or has she just avoided going shopping during December altogether. If the answer is "Yes, but what has that got to do with it?" That would be your perfect opportunity to explain to her that her presence at your "Family Gathering" would be no different then her going shopping with the presence of "Christmas Decorations". I'll bet that she will not have an answer for you!

  I feel like a punk

  i recently stopped studying and haven't told the "teacher" woman the whole truth--that i don't believe the 'truth' is the truth.

  i have my reasons why, and have been pondering on it for months now.

  what's the best way to say this; or better yet, is there a good way to get my point across without being preached to as to why i should go on and get baptized like i had planned.
