  Urgent! Need help - I told my parents.

  we have just gotten home from sunday-meeting, when my mom ask me if i believe in god and so on.

  so i tell her, cause you adviced me to be honest.

  and despite all my fears, she took it very calm, and then told my dad whos also taking it calm, and it doesnt seem like theyre hating me now or want to throw me out of the house.. the thing is.

  Ummm . . .I think what we have suggested is that filip do some INDEPENDENT STUDY on his own. You know, the kind that he does in school while writing his term research paper! We are suggesting that he read a few history books from the library . . .like maybe an encyclopedia on the date 586/587 BCE vs the 607 BCE date for the fall of Babylon.
  oh, while he is at it, he could compare the actual quote in the New Catholic Encyclopedia against the MIS-QUOTE that is used in the Watchtower published 'Trinity Booklet'. I'm SURE his parents or the elders will make sure he knows about the MIS-QUOTES. Not!!

  Slow to help....Quick to punish!

  ok...thought this was interesting.. mom called this morning practically begging me to go to the jc meeting that's coming up this weekend.

  i explained that i had asked 6 different elders to get a study started with me within a span of 4 years because i was "feeling weak".

  each time i asked for a study i would say "i need help because i'm losing faith".

  JC = Judicial Committee meeting Which usually means someone is about to get DF'ed DF = Disfellowshiped from the Jehovah's Witnesses (which means every JW will shun you) Shunning = treating you like you were DEAD!!

  Answer this question with one of your own - like:
  
  Then why in the Hebrew Scriptures does it show that the nation of Israel was a 'warrior nation'? They were always going to war! - Then list some examples from your own research.
  
  Don't limit yourself to using the New World Translation of the Bible either. It is very flawed and biased to the JW dogma.

  hey folks,.

  an era in the ex-jw history is over.

  kent steinhaug's site http://watchtower.observer.org is being shut down.. it was the first of it's kind, and to this day probably still the largest anti wt site on the net.

  I remember reading a post on some forum sometime ago that you wanted to purchase an expensive server - did you ever do this?

  Here is one more link that may help you sort out what you believe. It will enable you to study the Bible without using 'watchtower helps' which only serve to clould the real meaning of the Bible.

  Don't be confused by what your parents are telling you about needing to belong to "The Organization"(tm) to believe in God. God does NOT have an earthly organization to dispence "his truth" through.

  Concentrate on the topics that deal with the 'authority of the Watchtower' VS true biblical authority. You can still believe in God even if you leave the Watchtower Society. They are NOT 'God's chosen channel'(tm) as they claim to be.

  a friend of mine just told me he heard on the allentown radio station that an erickson, who had been an elder at one time in quakertown kh, was arrested for pediophile.

  have you heard anything about this?

  my friend knew him when they attended the hall

  What are the Radio station's call letters?
  What was the date that your friend heard this on the radio?
  Did this news item appear in any local newspaper?
  Was it covered by any local TV news programs?
  
  I did a google news search and came up empty!
