My husband knows that I truly would want in life. Think about your parents, do they know everything about you?"
That was my point - Non-JW parents against JW husband. The courts WOULD rule against the NON-JW's!

What if Michael was a JW and Terri a non-JW and the issue was not a feeding tube, but BLOOD. And Terri had never signed the Blood Card/DPA but had expressed her wishes to RECIEVE blood to her parents who were also not JW. Enter JW Michael who ONLY CLAIMS that he and Terri had discussed this issue and that she had indicated to him that she was NOT to receive blood.
Who do you think the courts would side with - Michael or Terri's parents?
Would the courts withhold life-saving blood from Terri just because her JW husband CLAIMS this is what she wanted regardless of lack of written proof?
Prior to the "Schiavo" case, Terri would have been ORDERED by the courts to recieve the life-saving blood.
How will this case affect 'court-ordered' Blood given to minor children/babies of JW parents?
Will courts STOP interferring in the 'blood issue' when it involves minor children/babies of JW parents?
Will the courts just allow these children/babies to die???
Sobering thoughts!!

Terry will not be starved to death. Her nutrition and hydration will be taken away. - - Michael Schiavo (see quote in context below)
Is not the above quote a classic example of DoubleThink/DoubleSpeak? Kinda reminds me of Bill Clinton's famous 'no sex' remark a few years ago!
Transcript: Michael Schiavo on 'Nightline' - March 15, 2005
BURY: Your wife's family and their supporters have been arguing in the most graphic terms that what you are going to allow happen on Friday, in their words, is in effect condemning your wife to a cruel death by starvation.
I'd like you to address that charge from them.
SCHIAVO: That's one of their soapboxes they've been on for a long time.
Terry will not be starved to death. Her nutrition and hydration will be taken away. This happens across this country every day.
Death through removing somebody's nutrition is very painless. That has been brought to the courts many of times. Doctors have come in and testified. It is a very painless procedure.
Here is another 'gem' comment made by Michael!
Michael Schiavo on Larry King Live - Mar 22, 2005
"We don't know what Terri wanted, but this is what we want..."
Michael Schiavo is truely showing signs of being 'brainwashed'!!

Brummie,
I think that your first post in this thread brought out some very good points to which I tend to agree. I do not think that it is right for her to be deprived of food and water which will result in her death. She was NOT dying until they pulled the plug on her feeding tube!
I do not think that the 'powers that be' and the news media want to address the potential abuse issues, rather they want to only bring out the 'right-to-die' issues. Needless to say I do not agree with them.
What IF Michael is lying?
What if Terri did not discuss this with him, as he claims?
Why did Michael 'remember' Terri's wishes only after he got the large money award from the courts?
What if HE is responsible for her having that so-called 'heart episode' that fateful night - by choking her?
Would SHE really want him to be her legal gardian if he is the one that did this to her in the first place?
These are all unanswered questions in MY mind.
What if Laci Peterson had been found in the same condition that Terri is in? Do you think that Laci would want Scott to be her legal gardian? After all, Scott tried to play the 'grieving husband' part too, before he got caught.

There is another thread on this subject:
"WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE TERRI SCHIAVO CASE?"
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/87180/1.ashx
I've posted quite a few links on that thread and taken quite a 'beating' as a result.
This was my first post:
"Michael Schiavo wants Terri dead because he wants to destroy the evidence that he was a wife-abuser. The parents want to prove this, but he will not allow that to happen. Evidence may show that Terri was strangled and THAT is why she is in this condition right now."
I posted a link and later had to explain that I did so as a 'quick and dirty' way for readers to get a little background information on the situation. It was done in a hurry as I was leaving for work. When I got home, there were all of the negitave comments addressed to me in that thread for posting that link.
I have been following Terri's story since 2003 through the 'Google-News-Alert' emails. I have not kept the information as I did not ever expect to need to post anything on the subject. I knew that WorldNetDaily had an extensive 'archive' so that is why I choose to post that link. I say this now, so as to avoid the same kind of 'attacks' that I have already had to address in that other thread.
In my opinion, there is enough 'questionable behavior' on Michael's part to warrent a criminal investigation of him regarding his actions in the 'Terri case'.
Since his award of money:
He has kept her isolated and deprived her of ANY stimulation that may have increased her chances of recovery. He will not allow any TV, radio, decorations, or plants in her room. The only time she recieves any outside stimulation is when her parents are in the room.
Example:
Her parents had her room decorated for her 40th birthday and Michael ordered all of that to be removed and tossed out when the parents left for the day!
He has denied Terri the comfort of having physical therapy to keep her hands, arms and legs in shape.
In short - if you don't use it, you lose it.
Terri used to be able to drink liquids and eat jello, but Michael stopped that and had the tube inserted instead.
I have posted a lot more on the other thread link - see above.

Good Letter, Dustin!!
Don't you wish that you could be "a fly on the wall" when each elder reads that letter??
Don't you wish that you could *read* each elder's thoughts as they read it??
That is one of the best DA Letters that I have read!

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE TERRI SCHIAVO CASE?
by Mary inthere is apparently no chance at all of her ever recovering from her present state, but do you think she should live or die?
for myself, i think she's better off dead than living---no, existing---in her present state.
i for one, have instructed my family to let me die if something like this ever happened to me.

When I first started following this event in 2003, I read an article that stated that Terri had had a conversation with a fellow employee the same day that she fell victim to her so called "heart episode" . She had confided to this fellow employee that she had been considering leaving Michael due to his "abuse". This fellow employee had advised Terri to check in to a battered women?s shelter for the night. But instead, Terri had gone home.
Is it possible that Michael and Terri argued that night and that is what led to her being in this condition today??
I have not been able to find this conversation since this thread started.
Can someone help me find it?

Unfortunitly, I doubt that is how he is thinking right now. But only he and Terri know the real truth about what happened that night. I just think that the courts have been wrong to prevent admission of that bone scan into the court records.
And I doubt very much if an autopsy will be preformed after her death and prior to her cremation. They already know that the cause of her death will be the result of having the feeding tube removed. She was NOT dying until they removed the feeding tube.
Can you provide written proof that there will indeed be an autopsy?

Howdy Eduardo,
First of all, Eduardo, didn't you just violate 'posting rule #1"?
Posting Guidelines
To ensure all users feel safe and keen to participate, please avoid:

"NewLight2: YOU ARE JUST PLAIN RIDICULOUS!
I am just going to address a few things that you have (LIKE A MORON) said in this thread and a few other points:" -- Eduardo
Secondly, you mave misspelled Terri's name throughout your post. It is not "Terry", but 'Terri'.
Thirdly, you must have missed reading my post where I explained that the reason I linked to that article in my first post was because at the bottom of that article there were links to background information on Terri's situation. I was not endorsing everything that was printed in that first article, nor in any article that appears on the site.
I was in a rush to leave for work, so wanted a quick way to provide some background reference material for JWD visitors to read while I was away from my computer.
And, lastly, I will refrain from commenting on any more of your wrong assumptions about why I post the things I do.
Have a Good Day,
