Urgent! Need help - I told my parents.

we have just gotten home from sunday-meeting, when my mom ask me if i believe in god and so on.

so i tell her, cause you adviced me to be honest.

and despite all my fears, she took it very calm, and then told my dad whos also taking it calm, and it doesnt seem like theyre hating me now or want to throw me out of the house.. the thing is.

Answer this question with one of your own - like:

Then why in the Hebrew Scriptures does it show that the nation of Israel was a 'warrior nation'? They were always going to war! - Then list some examples from your own research.

Don't limit yourself to using the New World Translation of the Bible either. It is very flawed and biased to the JW dogma.

an era in the ex-jw history is over.

kent steinhaug's site http://watchtower.observer.org is being shut down.. it was the first of it's kind, and to this day probably still the largest anti wt site on the net.

And if the answer is "yes" - Do you own the above server operation that you are referring to?

Here is one more link that may help you sort out what you believe. It will enable you to study the Bible without using 'watchtower helps' which only serve to clould the real meaning of the Bible.

Don't be confused by what your parents are telling you about needing to belong to "The Organization"(tm) to believe in God. God does NOT have an earthly organization to dispence "his truth" through.

Concentrate on the topics that deal with the 'authority of the Watchtower' VS true biblical authority. You can still believe in God even if you leave the Watchtower Society. They are NOT 'God's chosen channel'(tm) as they claim to be.

a friend of mine just told me he heard on the allentown radio station that an erickson, who had been an elder at one time in quakertown kh, was arrested for pediophile.

have you heard anything about this?

my friend knew him when they attended the hall

What are the Radio station's call letters?
What was the date that your friend heard this on the radio?
Did this news item appear in any local newspaper?
Was it covered by any local TV news programs?

newbie seeking others thoughts

basically i have been reading the bible lately & doing extensive research on the web and have come across many things in my search...any imput put on various scriptures or sites i would appreciate.... .

first of all i found more than a few religions that resemble the teaching of the jw's...so can they honestly say they are the only ones with the "truth"?

scriptures i came across in my studies this week (if you have any other translations of these same scriptures please quote them in ur response i have 2 kjvs as well as the nwt that i am using...thanks!
