many, many decades later, there seems to be some kind of buzz within the congregation that iridiologist (sp), i'll just call him the guy that looks in your eye and can diagnose every problem you've had since birth, is going to be in his hometown in new york and that he was "hangin' up the shingle" while he was here, needless to say this self-proclaimed dr/quack was dr. gladstone widdick and his book of appointments i'm sure was longer than the dr. that performed bill clinton's open heart surgery.. i believe he was/is located in the north carolina area, are somewhere in around there, any of you every had your eyes gazed into by this dr/quack ??.
That was funny. I am sure the elder stopped by the A&P on the way home from the meeting and bought a bunch of gree onions and tried it himself.

A shoebox full does not even come close to the intensity my ex and her friends have to herbs. These peolpe had a closet full of pills. I've seen my 5-6 pills every half hour for days at a time. All that stange behavior would be reinforced by the kh friends where someone was always cured with a special pill.
One of the first words our kids learned was "Nature Sunshine."

That name does not ring a bell. But my ex-wife was always (and probably still is) involved with these self proclaimed quacks. There was always five or six women in the congregation that would go from one quack to the next. One name stands out, "Christa." She was in SW Florida and i think she moved to NC or SC. Many witnesses were involved with this quack and there were some strange wt connections that I never did figure out.
My ex spent a lot of time and money with that woman and the whole thing totally drove me crazy.
i never used to see much for interesting wildlife until i moved into my house 3 years ago.

There is nothing like seeing a New York City rat. Sometimes when you stand at the subway you can look down and see them scurrying around.

this year, the crapmorial will be after sundown on march 22, a saturday (easter is march 23).
there will, in fact, be a drive to hound people into attending.
and i found from the december 2007 kingdumb misery that the 2009 crapmorial is april 9, a thursday night.. not that i recommend attending either one of those wastefests.

BTW, since the memorial is on Sat night will they have the Sunday meeting? Or will the drones have to schlep back to the hall 12 hours after the memorial for another boring talk?

i got a very nice haircut and when i was ready to leave the barber said, "that will be $12.95.
I am all for getting discounts. I wonder what would happen if I agressively starting asking for the senior citizen discount. Would they as for ID?

My father used to explain the difference between a recession and a depression: "when your neighbor is out of a job it is a recession, when you are out of a job, it is a depression." It is all about perspective.
I now live in NYC and the economy is going strong. a large part of the strong economy is foreign investors and visitors who can spend in NYC at a discount because of the weak dollar.
I lived in FL until recently, the economy was hit very hard by the real estate bubble. They will have a very hard time adverting a severe recession.

I have an aunt and cousin in that area. Both are in the org and both are a little crazy. Havent talked to either in years. The aunt may be dead by now.
