I am sure it is all about liability. If someone is hurt in a "congregation picnic" then the congregation is liable.
It is also about not wanting people to have fun. Guilt drives this organization, anything that reduces guilt (like fun) has to be forbidden.

i am asking this question because jehovah's witnesses claim they have "the best way of life", "god's blessing", "the truth" and are trying to change the habits of healthy people by turning them in to their own makings.
i watched people who were great athletes turn all their muscle in to fat because we would get a elder or circuit overseer make remarks they were spending too much time "working out" and "bodily training is beneficial for little".
All will be rectified in the new order, so it does not matter what we weigh prior to the great tribualation. Perhaps the excess fat will be a blessing when we are in a concentration camp with no food.
so, maybe this is god's way of preparing us for the trouble just ahead.

I think what you are saying relates to how many pregnant women are on the earth today. I suspect a hell of a lot given the rampant sexual behavior of humans. So, given that we are only a green banana to ripeness period of time before the big A, there will be a lot of deaths associated with un-born children. I guess I don't know whether to scream or eat a banana.

i've never been called for jury duty and i'm not yet registered to vote, although i'm hoping to get that done this month.
i know someone who within a few months of registering to vote was called for jury duty.
i've read some articles that said voter records 'used' to be used to call on people but that was a thing of the past.
this is a question to the Americans posting here, I've always wondered, could you, would you serve on a jury with a possible death sentence?
Yes. I have no problem on principle with the death penalty; However, I would probably try to get out of the case because I suspect it would be very time consuming.
