Being skepitical is a good thing, critical analysis is another good thing. Testing theories - well that is what scientists do.
I am not sure signing this says anything other than scientists agreeing to good scientists.

the tradition is turkey, cranberries (why ?
I was born and raised in a JW family - we ALWAYS had turkey for Thanksgiving.
As an apostate I make sure we ALWAYS have turkey for Thanksgiving. I am not so keen on turkey leftovers, but a fresly cooked turkey with stuffin is just great.
this is something that has always bothered me!.
why do rank and file have to pay for co's do's expenses, car, health insurance, meals, etc, etc...?.
didn't the apostle paul say that all christians have to be self sufficient and work?, not depending on anyone else and cause a burden?.
gave him a white envelope
According to the Chinese culture a white envelope is given at funerals. Red envelopes are used for celebration. So, maybe there was a sublimial message in the cash transfer.
i heard from a reliable source that a one-day assembly in arizona last weekend had a "cost" to the publishers of $17,000.. predictably, the elders were nice enough to obligate the attendees to a $6,000 donation to wt before the assembly "costs" (i.e.
"rent/extortion) were even met.
$11,000 rent plus $6000 in extra "donations".
cha-ching! As long as there are people willing to pay they are more than happy to collect. None of this money is coming out of my pocket, so I have not much interest.

funny funny funny. You made my day.
why did you become a jw, what particular teachings attracted you to 'the truth' ?.
.
in my case (baptized at 20/21) it was the only religion i knew; my mom, her mom, and favorite sister were jw; and the teachings of no hellfire or immortal soul made sense to me.. .
I was a 3rd generation JW. Getting baptized was a natural occurrence. I was indoctrinated from birth, so I had few options.
christian denominations say we go to heaven, witness say we stay alseep until ressurection.
quran says when we go we grt 72 virgins, unless we blow some people up.. .
i'm not really concerned with death atm, i'm not dead.
Do we know for sure what happens after death?
I think we are dead. Death is not a transition to another life - it is the end. So, live your life as if it is the only time you have, because it is.
imo the most exciting thing you will ever do in "the truth" is to leave !.
that's right, no website or rc nu-lite or service meeting letter compares.
to the adrenaline rush of waking up, planning your strategic withdrawal,.
Changing congregations is one of the most efficient and effective strategies of the "fade." It may not be the complete strategy, but it should always be a component.
check out the new jan 2015 study wt, article, they offer themselves willingly.
they give examples of young and middle age brothers and sisters who are selling their dream homes, uprooting their lives, etc, to move to help w/ building branches, etc, and how they know it's only temporary but not worried about what happens when they send them home.
they then say will you put jah to the test and see if he won't open the flood gates of blessings for you.
They have been a real estate development company for many years, you just did not notice.
