I remember my mother watching Billy Graham's ministries and taking notes. She was looking for gaps in his logic so that she could prove here faith as a JW. My mother was an old-school JW. She actually attempted to understand her beliefs and seek proof in the scriptures. I can't help but believe that, if she lived long enough, she would have been ultimately been able to connect the dots and see that the JW religion was a fraud.
In any event, I digress, please RIP, Billy Graham.

A majority of the earth's population believe in god or gods. They also have no interest in the bible as we know it.
I think we need to develop a global perspective on spiritual issues.It is presumptive to think that our beliefs are better than others.

he says armageddon is not a nuclear holocaust or an asteroid hitting the earth it's god's war against all the political nations of the earth.
he talks about a celestial phenomenon that will be phenomenal.

if we put on our western cultural (you know, the ones that say jesus made the world) eye-glasses we will 'see' prostitution as something bad.. the 'christian' influenced view is that prostitution is a criminal racket run by gangsters, and the women (and sometimes men) have either been bullied by their pimps, or drugged until they become addicts and forced to work in brothels.**.

Prostitution is considered the first profession. I love the works of John Steinbeck. When you read his books, he embeds stories about prostitution with no judgment. I hope that women have options other than selling their bodies. But I am not here to judge.

I was really struggling with my faith. I engaged with someone on a discussion board on AOL. He made a comment that explained the lie of the Wt related to the Trinity. I did a little research and realized he was right. I don't remember the discussion, but I do remember the effect. I can distinctly remember sitting on a chair in the family room and realizing that my whole life was built on lies. I was overwhelmed. It was not just the discussion comment, but his comment was clearly the tipping point.

Live a successful life and see how many of your former friends are jealous of your success. I purposely keep my facebook pictures public in the hope that my former JW brothers and sisters can see that there is life after the Borg.

This sounds like a waste of time. I see the motivation to save family members - I get that. But why focus on random people in the endeavor. Perhaps some people are best served living in a cult.

I notice that these videos are all an hour in length. If these videos are the trend I wonder why they make everyone schlep to an assembly. You could make a virtual assembly and watch these from the comfort of your home.
